    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

It is so great to have folks from the Netherlands on here. Great people!

thank you Sir !
Right back at ya - i have been working with US based colleagues for 17 years
and worked for the US army as a civilian for several years before that and enjoyed that a lot. The folks on this forum are great to hang with, too !

Small photo update:

This was last weekend, it's a spot the vehicles game;)
(notice the fairing still on the gs)

Then some sand blasting and some painting of the brackets

And the big change to the summer setup !!
Popping the top steering plate was indeed easy as pie.
I thought to move the blinkers from the back to the front becouse I have an krausser k2 luggage set waiting to be mounted. and the frame for that have blinkers intergrated. But that's another project. So for now i mounted the blinkers I had laying around from my BSA a7 bike;)

And after a short test ride I became aware I was mirror less... so tadaa!

And some ride pics at the local decomissioned airfield near my place.

Looks great! An uneasy vulnerable feeling it is to check for traffic only find you have no mirrors. I did that once also.

some years ago i bought a Reevu helmet with built-in rear view mirror.

It's not perfect, like on bumpy roads the mirror trembles and you can't see.
But it beats just rear view mirrors and i love it, never want to do without it again.

It scared the ignition sparks out of me;)

Interesting concept, as an added measure i think.

Good choice. Welcome.

W've owned a number of Vanagon (T3) Westfalia conversions, including a 4WD. I thought it was funny how the T3 was built in Germany, then shipper to Austria to Styer Damiler Puch for the Synchro 4WD conversion, then back to Germany for the Westfalia conversion. They were well traveled before they were sold. I keep an '84 Westfalia in Maine, USA and one in California, USA for use when I visit there. I know that in Europe and South Africa a lot more options were out there.
