A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Last year when I went on tour with Pembo and the boys The Dirty Old Pig ended up having to be towed through a flooded creek. This year things got worse.

We were just cruising and I didn't see the gravel on the inside of the corner and as soon as I hit it the front wheel tucked under and I was sliding along wondering what had happened.Fortunately TDOP slid along on the handlebars, the alternator cover and the rear footpeg so he didn't suffer too much.In the first pic Pembo and Dennis are deciding whether to throw on a match. In the second photo I am showing great courage coping with my terrible injuries. You get up in the morning and funny things just happen.I wonder what next year will bring.

oops indeed. lucky the bike didn't suffer to much.
thats only a scratch, stop wailing ya pu$$Y lol

o,man! that hurts just the same!
bl**dy gravel ...looks like the gravel came down from the other side of the road.Maybe a car skidded there or even the weather brought it onto the road surface to work it's way down and to get you.

yep,know how that feels

yep,know how that feels

I remember getting a knee like that,i think the worst thing(apart from a nurse getting a brush like you would scrub a front step with then saying quite unnecessarily "this is going to hurt":eek:)was watching the gas running out of the tank that I'd just filled!!!!.Maybe that's why every time I go out I wear my leathers,no matter how hot it is:D.Johnny

Gorminrider after any roadworks in Oz the boys throw shovel loads of small screenings on top,so we're well used to it.Perhaps I need to start wearing my glasses.I hate getting old.

ah! Peagravel+tar..Macadam road...
We see it in the towns and cities here but nowadays all the highways and most new roads seem to be black asphalt here, being an oil-rich country, I guess.
I'm going to get some proper pants. seeing as vegemite is hard to find here..:)

As evidenced from pic # 2, Your oil pan appears to be oil tight, unlike any gs ive ever owned. nice. On a more serious note, I'm glad you're relatively unharmed, and can have a sense of humor about it:)

WEDOO2,what on earth is a hypogonadism?
DORKBURGER when I rebuilt my silver GS1000{pg 69 show us your custom} about 6 years ago I followed the advice of some of the experts on this site and used new gaskets put on dry.It has done 5,000ks and has weeped oil from day 1.When I rebuilt the Pig 2 years ago I followed different advice and used Three Bond on every gasket and I've done 25,000ks without any sign of a leak.I reckon Three Bond is so good it might even stop my old Trumpy from leaking.

Max I'm sorry to see the pig on its side, but glad to see you got hand guards on there! My hand guards on the 450 have saved me twice now... once from having my brake lever jammed against the 'bar by a moron cager's mirror and another when I got knocked off at low speed by a ute last year.

Glad to see it's only gravel rash... ouch!

Uhh! Gravel!

Sorry to read about your incident; heal up and get that bike sorted.

Mate,The Pig was running last week and on Saturday we did 170ks going to see the damage caused by the biggest of only 19 tornadoes to ever hit Australia. On Sunday I did 500ks with my club to enjoy a barbecue at Lake William Hovell and The Pig ran better than ever because I fixed my clutch which has been slipping for ages.Good weather, good roads, good day.

NO product is THAT good!

NOTZ,Iknow that but I'm about to start putting the Trumpy motor together and I like starting full of confidence and then have the Trumpy slowly grind me into the ground. The Trumpy is the reason I love GS's so much.

Glad you "got off" that lightly. hehe The next time, carry a couple of Band Aids just in case. LOL

I need the band-aids to cover my ears because of all the flak I've been copping."You silly old fool you should know better."The gravel rash was no problem it goes away.I'll cop it from my mates forever for my slight mishap.

That's it Max .
You F#&* one chook ............................................

Cheers , Simon .
