A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I was removing my carbs for cleaning and when I pulled my fuel line off the brass nipple pulled right out of the petcock. I am going to have a hard time trusting it not to leak or come off again. Is there some kind of epoxy or something that I could use to put it back on? Maybe a little JB weld or something?100_0472.jpg Also I get terrible mileage, no better than 35mpg, no matter how I ride it. I have stock exhaust and air box with a KN filter. However I saw that the PO had replaced the main jets with 102.5's and all the information I can find says they should be 100's. He also drilled some 3/8 holes in the bottom air box. I have ordered some 100's from jets are us and plan on sealing the holes on the air box. Am I being reasonable to expect better mileage than 35 mpg? Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated, thanks

Yea, you are probably right. I have another one that works, I just never head of one pulling out.

I've had it happen before. I just gently tapped it back in with a small hammer. i believe the hole is tapered slightly. No leaks, but ya' never know. Mine has been working great for a year!

By the time you tap it back in gently, it will be seated nicely and sealed, so a touch of JB Weld around the outside of the joint should hold it securely and should never get wet with gas. :-k

I put a little JB up near the shoulder of the nipple and tapped it in with a block of wood. let it sit overnight. Looks good this morning. Thanks
