DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

You better, Pete.
We had a cracker.
I lost Simon in the travels at the track on Sunday.
His Cooley wasn't so mint when I saw it.
A blown oil seal meant he had painted the left side black.

I'll certainly do me best! Gotta get to the Island... must get there!

Ouch on the blown oil seal! Hope he makes it up here in time for the run on Sunday! The way the weather's been he'll get a bath anyway :D

Rustproofing the right side.

Good grief Simon, are you trying to make it look like my bike?

I must say, it's odd seeing a jacket I recognize thrown over the seat of a bike on the other side of the planet.

Thanks, I needed that! I thought race days were supposed to be grey and wet? Looks like a great day. You need to go see Johnny.

He's intending to Charlie!!,but I think he has set next season as a target. Thanks for the recommendation-I guess that you enjoyed yourself and the next time you come we ARE going to sit in the hedge at Jordans Cross as the Superbikes go past us 6 inches away at 170mph,ya hear-no bottling out this time, oh and you can also feed the donkey as well. if it is of any interest to anyone go to www.doublebandfilms.com to get a dvd of the 1992 NW200 that follows the late great Robbie Dunlop once you have brought up the site click on the dvd icon and you can go from there it costs ?19.99 but they will take paypal this is a small company based here in Northern Ireland so I can't see the production run being very large.great photos Leigh I like the one of the Katana-just goes to show the older bikes can cut it on the race track but it is like old race cars-give Stirling Moss, Fangio etc. 10 minutes and they would be able to drive them but give Alonso, Lewis Hamilton etc. a '50s race car and watch the crashes!

was that a little fun poking Charlie?? or was it that I took you at over 100mph down the motorway in the wet hehehe. Here is a photo(copied from a book called "hard roads") now THIS is a wet race
if anyone is wondering the arm out isn't some sort of stabilising manouver- he is stopping the race!!

Wet race? Nah, this was a wet race..

Charlie, Johnny is right, I has me a cunning plan to get there next year.
It's the same cunning plan I had to get there this year but without the major holes in it.

Johnny, I will sit in the hedges with ya.

Nice shots Leigh! Looks like Rookie had himself a fun ol' time there :D

Definitely some golden oldies there... and some old bikes too :p

If I ever get that Cucciolo going and in some sort of frame I guess I should probably take that down too hey?

That you should, Pete.
It'd be a hoot.
That last photo with the old bloke in the blue helmet is a 1915 Triumph.
97 years old...

What him or the bike? :p

Yeah that'd be awesome... not sure if this one's gonna be too much to chew on or not but it'd sure be cool to get the motor running and find a suitable candidate to mount it on and go ride it... even if it is only at 40kmh...

Have you checked out the Pit Bits videos on mcnews.com.au yet? Some good footage there of the XR69 pre-crash and a lot of other good stuff...

I don't think the bloke was that far behind the bike in the ages race.

Yeah. I trolled through those vids. Some good snippets in there.
You REALLY need to get down here next year.

Yes indeed... I need to start putting some subtle hints to the Mrs...

What good is it on a display stand, anyway?

Ooops, who was it on the forum who said"I really want one of those but I'll never afford one"(Buffalo Bill mabye??) well I guess now they can have one!
Not gonna happen, any bike's worth more for the parts, than complete.

Oh you callous man!

T.E. Lawrence's Brough Superior "Number 7"
Rollie Free's Vincent Salt Racer
Percy Tait's Triumph Trident "Slippery Sam"

As a starting point, I would say these bikes are worth more complete than as parts.
