• This forum allows conversation on non-controversial topics, therefore no politics or religion. "The Campfire" is an area meant for casual, civil discussions. Deliberate anti-social activity including personal insults, profanity, pornography, racism, threats and purposely inflammatory posts may result in suspension of forum access or possibly a permanent ban from GSR.

The words insight and incite are pronounced the same. But one of them will get you banned and the other will not. Before hitting the Submit button be certain which of the two better describes your post.

Register to access the full functionality of the GSResources forum. Until you register and activate your account you will not have full forum access, nor will you be able to post or reply to messages.

    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Pic of the week game

Oops again. Somehow the Flickr setting got changed. Fixed it. Thanks for all your work on this thread Bob.
I can see it on Flickr, (very nice photo), but can't get to the normal link to show it here....

What say we give you a free entry for next week? ;)

You strike a hard bargain but I accept. Does it not show on thread #6675 as well?

I took a screen shot of Sandy's pic from his flickr page. It says sharing is turned off.

And I'm voting for Sandy;).

Thanks Rich. I checked the setting but will look a little further. "Used to work ...should still work". Having worked in IT a lot I've definitely worn out that statement.

Going with Don this week, he has a Trifecta, Cute dog, Abraham Lincoln Beard going on and the Majestic Majesty that he rode from Jacksonville to Bedford Indiana and later from Bedford to Sturgis and back to Jacksonville.

I am going with gustovh's silhouette pic. Burque's panorama shot was a close second.
...

OK....Tally time! A lot of votes to count this week.

With one vote each, Jedz123, Cowboyup, Sandy, dpep, Gustovh, Burque 73, and Steve Murdoch.
With two votes, Dorkburger.

And with 10 votes, a runaway winner, Rich82GS750TZ....Great photo Rich!

And apologies to Sandy, for missing his photo initially.
We finally we got his photo up, but it was a little late, and he didn't get a fair shake.

Thanks all.
Last weekend, my wife and I took the dog for a hike on a trail named for poet Joyce Kilmer. His most famous poem, “Trees”, could have possibly been inspired by time spent in Penn’s Woods, but regardless, I thought it would be a good theme for this week. Here’s a pic of my dog, Zoey, and my wife on our hike.
not my entry:
