DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Pic of the week game

This picture is of a very hallowed place for me, on a hill just to the left of the drive, both my sons and my brothers ashes reside. I will be making another pilgrimage there to deposit my oldest brothers ashes there as well.

Anywhere it is only me and the bike and a road less travelled does it for me. There was a small Cemetery behind me but I had no personal connection to it.

Hey team!!.......................... we are officially hitched.

Congratulations, Justin. I'm truly happy for you two.

So this week's theme, Hallowed Ground:

Hmm, I have a few church photos, I'll look them over or go grab something new.

This is the alter of our wedding from over the weekend.

At first glance from my phone screen I thought it was a mirror image cut in half. Cool setup!

Not a church that I have any personal connection with, other than riding bye it many times on one of the nicer roads nearby here.

Stopped to get some flowers to take home for wifey. (I have found that simple flowers on random occasion for no big reason are appreciated more than expensive flowers on special-expected occasions. Well, that, and I was out later than expected har har har)
The white of the building and the white of the fence and bucket got my attention, along with the steeple. SO took a picture.

Picture is from 6 - 8 years ago. More recently I would have probably gotten a lower perspective to minimize how much of the frame is taken with parking lot pavement.

A statue of Jesus in a cemetery here in town. The inscription on the base says "Come Unto Me".

I wanted to get a few shots to choose from, but it started raining so this is what I got. My bike is sitting on a sidewalk, BTW.

I had a picture I was going to use... it seems to be in digital purgatory. I then went to download it from my Instagram page.... and deleted it by mistake.. I'll take a look at what else I have.

Y'all know I'm a Methodist preacher, so here's my bike "leading" a Methodist church. Lorentz UMC (not my church) on Rte 33 in Upshur County WV.

I figured a grave yard would be pretty close to hallowed ground, hence my entry this week. I mean with all the prayers being said and holy water being sprinkled on it, it made sense. Plus, our church is a pretty drab grey building, nothing fancy or too photogenic.

Not an entry, but here's a few bikes at Desert Springs Church last year. Bikes are cool, the building....not so much.

Happy Friday GSR Photo Dudes....Time to vote.
First, our theme presented by Mr. Jedz123...
So this week's theme, Hallowed Ground
Theme is a place where you find to be Hallowed/Holy.. Will also accept churches or other places of worship or statues of any denomination. Maybe it is just a perfect view (like this) where ever you fell "hooked" in with the universe works.

More to follow....

I'm going to go with Eli's this week. Tough Call for I loved Trevor's shot however Eli's shot reminds me of a great ride out that way and those hills do sing (or Hum I guess).
Best,

I'm in for burque. I like how the front wheel is tucked behind Jesus. I find it inviting and peaceful.
