• This forum allows conversation on non-controversial topics, therefore no politics or religion. "The Campfire" is an area meant for casual, civil discussions. Deliberate anti-social activity including personal insults, profanity, pornography, racism, threats and purposely inflammatory posts may result in suspension of forum access or possibly a permanent ban from GSR.

The words insight and incite are pronounced the same. But one of them will get you banned and the other will not. Before hitting the Submit button be certain which of the two better describes your post.

    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Pic of the week game

I like dorkburger's sunbeams. Glen gets my vote this week. I'll get back in the game, I promise. Getting a kid off to college this week, then new tires on the bike next week. Maybe the week after that.

Voting for Jedz. Not crazy about the chairs in the foreground, but still, a great shot. Elis is also cool. I like how the teees drop down to the center with the bike in the middle.

Baatfam for me this week... Love the colors, and it just looks like a great place to loose you...

I like Jedz and I like mine but voting for Bob (Baatfam) this week. A sweet bike on a great road is always hallowed ground for me.

Don't forget to vote!
Says the guy that forgot to vote...:o

My vote count:

Eli69 - 1
Burque73 - 2
Dorkburger - 2
Baatfam - 2

And for another win, Jedz123 with 5 votes! Very nice!

If someone could confirm my count?

Confirmed. 5 for Jedz of the 11 votes. Next closest was count of 2 votes for 3 different other pictures.

And I suspect this is the first 3-weeks-in-a-row win. (and I suspect Kerry Keerfuk can provide exact info on that).

So, Justin Jedz, if it was not a bother on your wedding day, maybe we are trying to impose on the honeymoon also. har har har

Haha no worries. Wow 3 weeks in a row! Thanks for the votes!

I'll be looking for the next pic now, stand by!

Alrighty let me know if this works.

A pic of your stomping grounds, where you come from or grew up. I'll take where you live now if you've spent the majority of your life there!

Best,

-Jedz

Ah,man!
what a picture!
maybe we should call this The Jedz Photo Of The Week Game.

Sorry, most of my life has been spent everywhere - no one place very long until we moved here to Ohio. Actually, this is the longest I've lived in any one place - the last seven years now so, I'll go with this one.

Actually changing my picture to one I took today on another favorite route. I learned today I cannot kneel down yet without a lot of pain in the leg so this was taken from waist level and with some serious luck on my side.

One time I rented a motorcycle when I was visiting my parents in my home town, but last time I lived where I grew up was 1990, and I started riding in 2008.
My dad apparently calls 'em "donorcycles" and says "Give your son a motorcycle for his last birthday".
My mom was none too excited about my new hobby, but she wanted to share in my joy.
Here we are in 2009 behind the house I lived in in PA. She tolerated a 3-mile ride with me.

"A pic of where you come from". Thanks, Mom!

My mates GS(x) hybrid and my GS on top of the world. I am very lucky where i live in Plymouth UK as there are hundreds of square miles of open moorland in one direction and many miles of coastal roads in the other direction, both of which offer great riding roads and stunning scenery.

British Columbia has been my home for 16 years now. It's the longest that I have lived in one place...so much personal growth has taken place here for me..and of course the best thing that ever happened to me was meeting my wife here.
This was taken a few weeks ago when we went to the Kootenays for a five day ride. :)
