A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Pic of the week game

The fountain in Letchworth State Park is fed from a pond up the hill and runs all year. It's been there since at least the 1860's. In the winter it freezes and creates a cone which, depending on the temperature and duration of cold, may grow to 40' or so in height. It's one of my earliest memories of the park.

i'm just sticking this other picture in for fun, please disregard for the game.

I wonder if he'll remember this when he's my age....

When I looked through my pictures, I always came back to my Barlow collection. When I look at them I miss the last trip that I took with my brother and all the riding lessons that he taught me through the years. 11 years gone now and sorely missed.

I'll try and group these together for our viewing/ voting pleasure. I personally think the photo alone should speak to the theme so I left out the text. Please feel free to go back and read through the posts and get the context.
............Thanks for the votes, guys....I doubt I can top that last theme, but here goes..................

Nostalgia.....(or, Nostalgic, if you wish...)

my vote is for mr. steve murdoch. i think because real, working pickup trucks are a thing of the past.

Sorry, I didn't get anything for the theme this week, enjoyed all the great submissions though. Voting for steve murdoch as well. I've not seen that 6-cylinder beast in this thread before. Love that the road takes your eye past the trucks all the way to the vintage ESSO sign.

Thanks for doing the summary, Roger.
(I was out-n-about this morning before I thought about it being Friday.)

I agree.

Will need to ponder, which is more nostalgic to me (nostalgic: referring to own experience-recollection), which shows/imply something was nostalgic to the submitter, and which is most interesting photo. ..... if any meet all three, then need a tiebreaker.

Har har Some of us have more to be nostalgic about than others. har har har

And what some are nostalgic about, seems to be more recent to me. har har har

I have to go with Mr. Murdock as well. Those old trucks are just cool. And, well, the bike is ok too. LOL

I was going to go for a ride earlier in the week but i have a wonky wire somewhere and it got cold and I haven't spent the time with the bike to address it.
Otherwise I would've ridden to Camden Park, an amusement park nearby that was opened in 1903 and has a nice nostalgic-looking sign.

My vote is for dorkburger, probably because the black and white was nicely submitted and I like the photo.

Baatfam, Spyder & burque pics make me think about such places and/or things from my past.

Vote for baatfam for the picture. I recall seeing signs like that.

1981: 29 year old, with 2 year old kid, I was walking wide around to avoid the obnoxious noise comming out of the arcade. Har har.
(The next year I got a 650g.)

Gustovh for me this week due to the subject matter. I recall his Brothers epic trip to the Arctic Circle on the Ural. Nostalgia indeed!

Voting for Steve Murdoch. I probably would have taken the same pic. Or maybe tucked my bike between the first and second truck. Either way, it's a cool shot.
