DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Here is all loaded up as departing for 4 day weekend trip to BrownCounty rally 2018

Here is all loaded up about to depart from Oceanside CA for the ride home to Michigan, May 2019.

Can see have GPS mounted, and have my other all-important-indispensable navigation technology at the ready for final review before departing (select pages of randymcnally maps stapled together) . Can also see the moving truck in process of being loaded.

So with full luggage, and not camping, you can see that these pictures of mine for a long trip dont look much different than would any pictures of a short local ride, other than the GPS mounted.

The theme will be Load for the Road. Very liberal interpretation--a motorcycle packed up for or during a trip--to the other side of the country, to work, to a bike rally, to wherever. I suspect there are some creative luggage solutions floating around out there...
My "creative luggage solution."

So I go to a conference every June, it lasts about four days, and is almost 200 beautiful miles away. Great opportunity to ride some of WV's twisties!
But, I want to have my laptop, and a suit, and my pastor robe, and the kind of clothes I don't just want to roll into a duffel bag to strap onto the bike.
So I got me a rubbermaid bin, and fitted it with a --> brace/frame that allows me to lock it to the luggage rack <--. The straps are there because the bin is not at all aerodynamic. I gave the bin rubber feet as well, so I can remove it from the luggage rack and set it on a hotel room floor without getting the floor nasty. And I put reflective tape on it because I never want a cage driver to be able to say of me, "I didn't see him coming!"
The bin is large and stable enough to put a laptop and a suit and a pastor robe and other things in there without getting all wrinkly, and it's waterproof.

Boy, I thought surely one of the early rising folks in a different time zone would have done this already. I really hope you all are well.

Here are the submissions for this week.

Too many for one post.

My settings show the newest post first. It may be backwards depending on your settings. Please let me know if I left one out, also if I grabbed the wrong pic in the posts with more than one.

Thanks, Roger. I thought about doing the tally about an hour ago, but then again I AM in the office, doing timely work, and I figured as soon as I started the lengthy process of compiling the pictures, it would be posted by somebody.

Thank you for doing the dirty work!

Good submissions! I have to think a bit.

Best overall picture (for us motocyclist): Bob baatfam, and not because I think I recognize that scene (IN39?) and have good memorys of such rides (BrownCounty rally). Picture is loaded bike and road and scene, and inviting road going off and around........

Other pics may better have the loaded bike be the main point of the pic, Storm and others. Trevor loaded bike and great scenery. Steve has multiple loaded bikes and scenery.

But, overall, I'll place a vote for baatfam.

Hey all, hope everyone and their families are well.

Its a toss up for me between Jedz and Baatfam.
Being that this is primarily meant for us ametur clickers, I'm voting for Baatfam.

Holy Crap...It's Friday....Ugh....Thanks Roger....totally forgot. :o

I had to double check the calendar. Seems like the tenth Saturday in a row. Really weird times.

Baatfam's pic gets my vote. I'll echo what Redman said about it.
