Pic of the week game

I do have some pics of some nice murals, but those not really graffiti.

Did find the pic I had in mind where I purposely framed a pic with graffiti.
Brown County GSR Rally, May 2008, William's Bridge.
01TvEFO.jpg

That is our ol' buddy Painter Dave (since departed).

2008 is When road still went thru the bridge, hence why we are parked up close and off to the side.
But, ah, doesn't have my bike in the frame like I thought. So not my entry.

Oh, My memory of the pic must have been combined with this pic I have

Which, ah, isnt my pic, and, ah, something other than the graffiti is way too prominent in the pic. So, THAT is not my entry either.

Do have this pic, of the same occasion, where I purposely included the graffiti as part of the picture. My bike partly seen in back.
Not that interesting of a pic, but all I have.

Painter Dave in center, facing camera.
And that is Greg GBW on left, I think his first GSR rally.
Other folks I dont recall being around the forum much longer after the rally.

Trev's is interesting in that the way it is posed minimizes distracting stuff like the road/parkinglot. The person going about his business at the barred door/gate seemed to be a distraction at first, but, no added towards setting the scene. Held my interest long enough to realize, Oh, the bike color goes well with the background of the mural, maybe that adds to the interest without me realizing it at first. Mostly what I like is that most all the entire pic is the bike and the painting(s). I wonder if the guy is opening the gate/door for business in the morning. Or if he is saying "oh, a biker, I better close and lock this gate."

Rich & Eli are interesting, but after a while seemed to be more about the tunnel/bridge than the graffiti.

Sandy got my attention. Maybe its the lack of other distractions, is mostly all the painting and the bike. Maybe its that the most of the painting seems to be the organized-done-with-permission-respectful mural and then is also what appears to be some disrespectful-vandalism-tagging graffiti added over the top of the mural.

Dork is interesting, in that at first it seems that the picture is framed to include the little thin dead tree and the framing goes further up the wall than needed. So, I thought, "What is this picture about? What was he trying to show? Or did he just randomly back up that far and took a picture?". Then I noticed some other things about the paint, related to the thin little dead tree ... ... ... ah, I get it.
Vote for Dorkburger.

Lots of great stuff all around this week gents. Well done, all.
Sandy
gets my vote. Great attention paid to get those horizontal lines dead straight.

Great pics this week folks, some of the examples rise above Graffiti to street art . Voting for Sandy, great bike and graffiti!
