• This forum allows conversation on non-controversial topics, therefore no politics or religion. "The Campfire" is an area meant for casual, civil discussions. Deliberate anti-social activity including personal insults, profanity, pornography, racism, threats and purposely inflammatory posts may result in suspension of forum access or possibly a permanent ban from GSR.

The words insight and incite are pronounced the same. But one of them will get you banned and the other will not. Before hitting the Submit button be certain which of the two better describes your post.

    Welcome!
Register to access the full functionality of the GSResources forum. Until you register and activate your account you will not have full forum access, nor will you be able to post or reply to messages.

    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Pic of the week game

Good morning GSR! Let's tally up!

Jedz 123 - 1 vote
Dpep - 1 vote
Redman - 1 vote
Trevor - 1 vote
Sandy - 1 vote

Gustov - 2 votes
Rich82GS750TZ - 2 votes

And we wait - (Unless I counted incorrectly)

Saturday AM

Vote Tally time.

I count 9 votes over 7 entries.
And the first 6 votes we had a 6 way tie at 1 vote each.

Total tally:
1 vote each for Jedz, dpep, Redman, Trevor and Sandy.
2 votes each for gustov and Rich.

So here we sit with a tie between gustov goop repair and Rich broken stud, waiting for vote to break the tie.
Each pic does tell some of the story of what happened prior and what could possibly need to happen next.

I just noticed what you did there..../ / / /

HAHA. I Missed that when Bob first posted it. Now I can’t unsee it. Perfect:D

I suspect Bernie wasnt there when first posted.
I recall When I first saw the pic, I was surmising what the story might be (although I think I recall from other pics from what might be the same story) and was looking at the side bag she is sitting on, to compare to the bags on bike on side of road in distance (Bobs old BMW K ?), and didnt notice Bernie then.
Either that, or my powers of observation are more lacking than I know.

Tell us, Bob. Did Bernie appear later after first posted the pic?

Very observant, Dave. Wasn't happy with my choices, but put up a photo from our first BMW crash....

First photo: No Bernie

Then I got involved in this thread at mu43: Bernie Photobombed!
Someone was kind enough to post up a pre-masked, hi-res Bernie over there.
Knowing my photo wasn't "in the running," I decided to have some fun.
Only took a few hours to blend him in there....(It was more difficult than a thought)

Second photo: Bernie

Let's call it Posters Choice. Post any picture that you want and give it a title. Here is mine, I call it Poser.

Titling this one "Mandatory" because almost everyone who rides "The Trace" through The Land Between the Lakes takes this shot at Center Furnace. There are the remains of several old Iron Furnaces over there but Center Furnace is all there and Pristine. The fact that is sits along the Main North South road at LBL helps it's popularity.

I’ll call this one Neglect. This is what happens when 1. There’s too much snow/too cold outside to ride, and 2. I’m in the middle of a laundry room/bathroom remodel.

Not as nice of a picture as yours but here's a similar one in Ohio called Vesuvius

I've always thought my 80 750 is the most photogenic of my bikes.... :)

Let's call it "Wheat Kings and pretty things"

Everyone make sure to put your photo's title right up front, so we can include it in Friday's compilation.

Bold would be helpful.:D

Kerry, where do you find these flat straight roads in West VA? Not that I want to find them but in multiple trips to WVA other than the Interstate I did not see them. :-)

Yeah, ya don't. This photo is from 2010 when I was living in Chester County, Pennsylvania.
Nothin like these Appalachian roads!
