• This forum allows conversation on non-controversial topics, therefore no politics or religion. "The Campfire" is an area meant for casual, civil discussions. Deliberate anti-social activity including personal insults, profanity, pornography, racism, threats and purposely inflammatory posts may result in suspension of forum access or possibly a permanent ban from GSR.

The words insight and incite are pronounced the same. But one of them will get you banned and the other will not. Before hitting the Submit button be certain which of the two better describes your post.

    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Pic of the week game

Voting for Cowboy's Great Valley shot, because it made me go and look it up.

Some good shots of great scenes.

A couple really seem to be "forever".
Vote for Rich, partly due to the sunset, and partly due to the pic including him (I assume) actaully looking at the scene that goes of forever.

Good Morning GSR! It's the weekend, so let's tally up....

With one vote each, gustovh, cowboyup3371, and Burned? (I suspect dork meant Burque73)

With no picture, but three votes, Jedz123

And with four votes, just squeaking out the guy with no photo, Rich82GS750TZ

It is a very nice photo, Rich. Congratulations.

If I could get a confirmation, that would be nice.

Count looks right, so I?ll go ahead and post. Dave, yes that?s me looking into the distance. I?ve been playing with a little phone tripod I carry on the bike, and using the timer so I can scurry back to get myself in the shot, since my wife doesn?t ride with me, nor would she take the picture the way I wanted if she did.

I finally got the chance to go moto-camping this year with member Eli69. It was a great time, a great test of my bike, my gear, my riding endurance (most miles I?ve ridden in a weekend). I will definitely do more of this.

This pic is me all packed up, leaving home for the weekend. Let?s see your moto-camping pics.

I was looking through the GS's pantry trying to decide on what to eat. Choices were meals like Chile with beans, Spagetti with beef sauce, or vegitarian crumbles with pasta in taco "style" sauce. I ate pretty good on that trip. Not sure if I'd like to eat those for an extended time, but they're not half bad.

Not me, I live for bike camping trips. If I didn't have to work for a living I'd always be gone. :o

This one is from a stop in the Adirondack mountains on the way back from the NE GSR Rally in Vermont.

Voting for mr. Rich82GS750TZ cuz I was amazed at all the stuff he had loaded onto that 750.

Voting for gustovh. Looks like he’d be ready for any Moro camping trip in about 5 minutes. I consider the rack “part” of the bike. So I think it meets the rules.
