DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Didn't you want to go under it? My wife slaps me in the head when I get close to one cuz she knows that's what I'm thinking.

At BC this year, I passed one going the other way while I was leaned into a right hander. I maybe could have made it under, if I was hanging off. I don`t actually want to try it, but my brain evaluated it as a potential escape route.

Well, It's Friday, and Bob must have slept in, so I'll take a crack at compiling this week's entries. First the theme, by Marvinsc

Theme is "Road Hazard". Things that have made you stop, swerve or turn around.

I wonder who would win this discussion about turning around?

Have used this scene before, but is a different shot

I?m gonna bookmark my spot with this one. May change it later with a more literal interpretation of the theme.

Kind of a road hazard

Guess you could say I was "forced" to stop here.

Let me know if I missed any.

LOL....Thanks Rich and nicely done.

Didn't sleep in, but sure thought today was Thursday....:o
I can't wait to be able to retire! I was like that during the second week of my three week vacation. I had to actually think about what day it was! I loved it 🌞

. . . . . . . .I'll take a crack at compiling this week's entries. .
.
I had an extra early morning obligation/appointment, so I didn't notice it wasn't done.
Note for Norm: Extra early being 8am. (Before 930 coffee group.)

Thanks for doing that Rich. Good job. Good practice. (next step of the learning curve is if were to be more than 10 entries.)

Before I retired, an older retired friend suggested I use those pill cases that have a compartment for each day of the week. He said was good for him for his awareness of the day of the week. I laughed at his joking around, thinking it was meant as a joke. But since then, have found it is true.
And it does Help me get to this coffee group/place on Monday mornings and other group/place on Wednesday and other group/place on Friday.

Hum... My short list has 6 listed...

Cowboys and mine, yah, is obvious, are defiantly stopped and having to turn around.
In mine, trucks were getting thru, but I turned around, went back to intersection and went other way, and came to deep water across road, so went back to same intesrcetion and went the remaining other way to find more road closed ahead signs .... so went back into Fallsburg. Ah, that is why was getting all the sever weather alerts on phone the prior day, just because it was raining (to me it just seemed like was raining, raining hard, but not sever by my experience). Apparently raining is sever in canyons of northern San Diego county.

I liked Burque pic for many reasons, was many interesting aspects of the pic and a lot to look at. So that pic stayed in contention for long time. Was many interesting things to see, eventually I saw what was the road hazard.

Bob pic, yah, that is a road hazard. HAve had that experience my self.
Is there something on the road there under the piece of equipment?

Um, Er.....
Let see: Cby, Kfk, Rdm, Rich, Brq, Bfm.....

Vote for bob Baafam

.

Note to Dave. Several years ago I use to go into McDonald's for my morning coffee. There were a group of retired guys that would meet there in the early morning. The guys would heckle me saying "Get out of this young man's way he has to go to work"! We'd joke back and forth... I miss them fellows.

Oh, I vote for Gostove and the dreaded Orange Barrels !
