Deliberate anti-social activity including personal insults, profanity, pornography, racism, threats and purposely inflammatory posts may result in suspension of forum access or possibly a permanent ban from GSR.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Pic of the week game

From far away, and up the side of dune

(but zoomed in a bit)

(on a sand covered sidewalk, not the beach)

I posted my first photo in this game on March 24th, 2018.
Three years, seven months, and 2 weeks without missing a week....Until this week.

Sigh....:(

Well, if you can make it to June 26th 2025 without missing another one you'll beat that record, lol. I may have missed a couple, but generally try to get a shot in for every week.

Last week I tried to use a pumpkin (rear differential) from a parts bike with a couple of real pumpkins. It was a real stretch and looked pretty terrible so I removed it in hopes I'd come up with something else. Oh well.

This week will be fun though.

For a slightly different take on the theme.

The leaves are gone, the mountains and bare trees, far away in the distance with the sun kissing the hard frost. Gorgeous ride yesterday morning... 5 AM and decided to go out and watch the sunrise. 100 miles...

Looking through one side of my binoculars at about 600 feet from the bike. I tried a telescope but I had to get so far away that the image just got grainy.

I like Steve Murdoch's pic. The CBX almost always draws some votes by default cause it's just cool, but the vantage point here looking through the arches and far away bridge makes a nice scene.

Uhg, Friday already. I was meaning to post a pic last night when I went to bed. Woke up this morning with the phone still in my hand, mid scroll through my Imgur album. Oh-well, I didn't have a good theme pic anyway. Didn't get out this week to get the shot I wanted.

Voting for gustovh. I love the composition.

Is it small, or far away. Time to ask Dougal.
"It's far away, Ted."
And it's Gustav.

The bikes of Baatfam and Gustov are far away. Looks like Gustovs is a little bit farther.

Roger Burque probably gets the "furthest away" recognition, once read the description and know is a view thru telescope. Also gets positive comment for the most ingenuity I have seen here in a long time.

For overall pleasant pic of bike from far away, I will vote for Trevors.

Kerry's "rubber retaining wall" gets my attention, probably because I have seen one made of regular tires along "the Devil's Triangle" in Tennessee. Kerfunk for me this week.
