A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Redman - Thanks for doing the summation today, Dave. Made my morning a little easier.:encouragement:

Rich82GS750TZ - Hey, nice beaver(s)! :p

Carter Turk - Even though the horizon is not level, (which bugs me), I keep going back to that shot. Wonderful!

Voting for Carter Turk!

HA:welcoming:. I do get, and appreciate the reference. I want to see the new Naked Gun Movie w/ Liam Neeson. But will wait for streaming. I'm a sucker for Police Squad/Naked Gun/Airplane type humor.
But that, sir, is a Groundhog, in Punxsutawney, PA. Official home of Phil, our beloved weather prognosticating woodchuck. For what it's worth, the Bill Murray movie, of which I am a fan, was filmed in Woodstock, Illinois.

Anywho, also voting for Carter Turk. The off-kilter view seems intentional and adds to the eerieness.

Re Carter Turk's 'off kilter' horizon: isn't that called a 'hill'?

Voting for Baatfam because it's such a lovely bike (looks like mine :tears_of_joy:).

I really like Carter's photo as well. Looks like the trees are vertical, but the more I look at it I find myself leaning a little bit.. LOL

However, I'm going to vote for Grimly. I've had to deal with a catastrophic flood and that looks like a Sh*t show!

Voting for Burque, as so many times I had to go out into that because time demanded it. Bloody rain never goes off when it should.

I got to give a vote of sympathy to Redman. There's something troubling about his picture that makes it look like a rider in anguish and discomfort and just wanting to get it over with. Sure hope he was able to find a gas station or someplace where he could pull over, get off, and just try to relax for a while before having to continuing on.

Grimly pic give me the largest reaction, Oh Man. Flood. And can see "high water mark" up on the wheel.

Burque and Eli pic give me the biggest "Oh, yah, I recall such as that happening." Standing somewhere, under cover, watching it rain out there, thinking about if/when/how to go back out in it.

Liking baatfam and Gustov for the view, seeing the rain drops there, and is apparent what had just happened.
Vote for Gustov, the cover bunched up adds the evidence of what had happened before, maybe was windy and blew cover aside. Nice clean photo, only what needs to be in the frame to support the main intent.

I'm voting for Grimly, as that would suck to come into your work haven & deal with the aftermath.

Regarding my shot, it's a cheap samsung phone I got in 2018 & didn't even notice the off kilter factor.

Good Morning! Let's tally up!

With one vote each, Burque73, Redman, Gustovh, and Eli69

With two votes each, Carter Turk, and Baatfam

And with three votes for the win, Grimly!

What's up next, G?

Whoah, I wasn't expecting this...
Stuck for a theme, now.

THe surprize came a few minutes later, just beyound what road see here.
I was surprized at HOW steep that was.
26% doesnt seem like a big number, but it is when talking about grade of a road.

SOuthern California, north of San Diego, by Oceanside (Camp Pendelton area).
