• This forum allows conversation on non-controversial topics, therefore no politics or religion. "The Campfire" is an area meant for casual, civil discussions. Deliberate anti-social activity including personal insults, profanity, pornography, racism, threats and purposely inflammatory posts may result in suspension of forum access or possibly a permanent ban from GSR.

The words insight and incite are pronounced the same. But one of them will get you banned and the other will not. Before hitting the Submit button be certain which of the two better describes your post.

    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Pic of the week game

Burque73 for me. Brings back fond memories. We still have a few drive-in theaters in the area. Don’t go as often as we should.

Saturday Morning.

7 entries, 10 votes.

DOnt really need a specific count, easy to see Burque run away with the DriveIn Movie. Made me wonder if the one remaining around here has the speakers or not.

But is Roger Burque 7, Glen Dorkbrgr 3.

Hey, ROger, what you got for us next?

We haven't had a drive in theater in town since 1995 so that was a rare treat. Never watched a movie with rain gear on so that was a first too, haha.

I'm glad you guys liked that pic. Good times!

As far as a new theme, hmmmmm....

How about Transformed. Interpret as you will.

Boy, don't everyone post at once. ;)

Maybe I should restate the theme to something like free association. Find something similar in some way to the example pic. Whatcha think?

I’m in. Was just waiting for the right light.
My T has been Transformed into a bagger. Better to transport my new riding buddy.

I'll just say:
There is a transformer, there is my bike, (so qualifys for the theme)
and leave the other aspects of "transform" to the observation of the viewer

Selfie Photo from Sept 2024.
I will say, I had not been there since 1987.

Well happy Friday, GSR! Let's review these photos and vote...
First the theme of the week by Roger (Burgue73):

Transformed. Interpret as you will.

And that is all of for this week, folks! Interesting theme, with interesting interpretations.

If anything is amiss, please let us know. Don't forget to vote!

(Low turnout this week. Let's see if we can get more folks playing next week. Tell your neighbors. Tell your friends.;))

Gustovh, Baatfam, Redman.... eeny meey miny mo

Baatfam it is for his interpretation.

Beautiful work on that armor Gustovh! Whiteman haha, thats great too.

Redman gets the nod this time, tough subject, would take more than 1 pic. to show a proper transformation of a bike
