Deliberate anti-social activity including personal insults, profanity, pornography, racism, threats and purposely inflammatory posts may result in suspension of forum access or possibly a permanent ban from GSR.

The words insight and incite are pronounced the same. But one of them will get you banned and the other will not. Before hitting the Submit button be certain which of the two better describes your post.

    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Pic of the week game

Sorry guys, got nothing this week, just got power back this morning. But picture a bike straddling an open stinky bubbly rancid septic access hole. That was the vision anyway untill the weather hit.

Good Morning, GSR! Time to review the entries and vote.

The theme this week from Eli:

"Places you don't want to be"

Light turnout, but that should be all of them, if not, please let us know.

Some nice photos this week. Don't forget to vote.;)

It is close for me between Dave's Evil Knievel Bridge and Bob's shack in the woods, Voting for Bob,

Voting Carter Turk, anybody ever been on a road like that, on a bike, surely would never want to be there again.

I'm voting for Redman. I remember being in stop go traffic going uphill on the bridge crossing from Ontario to Michigan in sweltering humid conditons on a aircooled bike.
Bike was not happy, nor was I.

I'm gonna vote for Mr Baatfam. That's really scary. The alligator thing is a very close 2nd.

Redman was an easy choice for me.
I cross a canal with the same lift bridges every single day and when they're up...it's the last place i want to be.

Good Saturday morning, all. Time to tally the votes:
Carter Turk - 2
Eli69 - 2 (counting 650Skull's late vote, I think it was actually Sunday where he is )
Redman - 2
Baatfam - 4

Looks like Bob is the clear winner with the Creepy Cabin in the woods. A second pair of eyes would be welcome.
But I think I can safely call it. Whatcha got for us for Christmas Week, Bob?

Thanks for doing the vote totals, Rich. I was avoiding it because I saw where it was heading. ;)
And thanks for the votes guys.

Christmas week. How about a favorite gift. Christmas, birthday, whatever....
I've used this before, but I still remember that day.

In my defence, if the votes haven't been tallied I vote. + - I don't care.

That is a Kidosaki KZ002.
(I had a KZ400 at the time.)
Justin really liked that little bike.
He "ran the wheels off it", well, actaully rode it till the axle wore thru the body till the body was scraping on the ground.
I then made some "bearings" for the axle by popriviting some washers to sheetmetal and then popriviting the sheetmetal to the body. And he rode it more.

Recreation of that photo when grandson about 1 year old, about 2012.

My first thread on here was 30/12/2021, been looking at the bike for a while dealing with the owner, buying a bike in another country sight unseen. My son finally wrestled my XS650 from my hands, had a couple of $'s to spare, hole in my pocket actually, and I wanted to have a vehicle to ride round when I visited in NZ. Also something to work on together in the bike shed when I visited.
Crappy Pic, (slightly edited) of the bike pics the PO sent me. She was a school teacher.

As it was around Christmas time here is my entry
