A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Dan mate that looks cool.
I dont know why but it kind of reminds me of a WWII tank. Could be the colour.
Cheers

Damn Guys!! Those are both sweet! Near look as tho they were destined from the the factory that way! Killer vision!

Bubba I think I like your's the best. The side cover is nice and trimmed. The fairing doesn't look too bad either

It does look pretty slick. I like Dan's too, but the only problem i see with it is getting the tank to look like that could turn into quite a chore. But, nothing a deadblow and some body filler couldnt pull off..hehehe

Nice job, Bubba. That side cove really fits nicely with the rest of the lines. Since we're all fantasizing about a bike the owner staunchly defends as a minimal investment while I'm at school kinda bike, I think a smaller tank would really help the whole look of the bike. Maybe a tank about 2/3 or 3/4 the size of the original would help the lines. Is it me, or do the front and back wheels look like 2 different type of wheels?

I don't know guys. to each his own but I personally don't really dig the bobber look. I like em more as they were from the factory with some period mods. Not that I don't admmire ones creativity to modify their bikes to their own liking. I see all these classic bikes getting chopped up when they really were in pretty darn good shape to begin with. Now if you had a bike that was in poor shape than I would say have a field day.

I agree with doug g. Shoulda left it alone. Any mods that don't improve the function of a bike won't ever look right. Sorry.

I prefer the look from the factory too or the cafe modified look however if the guys wants to mess around with it then why not.... there are enough of them about still.

Personally I want to try & keep two cans (mufflers) & the airbox because I prefer the look but many have 4:1 & pods, this is really only the same deal at it's extreme.

Dan :)

Yeah so do I. It just looks manlier IMO.

Thanks guys. If seeing your ride in a different light is something you'd be interested in, just send me a big, good pic.
