    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Greets Guys!
It has been a loooong time since I have had the time to get back on the board here. (Originally Macguyver, now just Macgyver)

Glad to have ya' back Mac! The bike looks good!

I dig the stealth look! And the green illumination. BTW, that's totally illegal down here...:(

Here too... anything other than white (forward facing), red (rear facing), or amber (indicators) is illegal... oh you can have amber running lights as long as they don't flash I think...

Really? Whatever for?

Reasoning being that non OEM lights (or comparable replacements) on a vehicle may confuse other road users...

Technically, you can install extra lighting like that but it requires Certification by the Govt's body ($$) - and you would still not be allowed to use it while on the road...

In fact... if you came across a very pedantic vehicle inspector on the six-monthly road worthiness check-up... that painted front screen (being non-OEM) would also be illegal...

Heck! Those indicators would not pass either... they need to be visible from 30 degrees away on the opposite side...

:nightmare:

Ouch. While I am not a fan of the under vehicle illumination or many of the other lighting things I see they certainly aren't harming anyone and don't need the nanny state to step in and squash them.

It's nice of the nanny state to worry about everyone like that, especially those who are easily confused.

Your vehicles get inspected every 6 months?!?? :nightmare:

Wow. I guess I can cross New Zealand and Australia off my list of potential places to live, that is absolutely crazy. And here I thought Canada had too many oppressive regulations...

Now back to our regularly scheduled programming.

Here in Ontario, Canada, "underglow" on motorcycles is legal as long as it is not blue, or red forward facing and flashing.

It is completely illegal to drive a 4 wheel vehicle with underglow illuminated, since it may be visually distracting to other motorists on the road. It is however completely legal to ride a 2 wheeled vehicle with underglow illuminated since it is classed as a "visibility aid". We all want to be seen by the crazy people about to pull a left-hander in front of us don't we?

I checked with the local po-po and we went through the traffic act regulations and they gave me the thumbs up!

Stay tuned for more pics, my 05 GSX-R shock showed up yesterday.:)
She's painted and ready for reassembly tonight, and install likely this weekend.

Morning "caf?"
