A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Walk away man,walk away

Bill, If you thought that the bike was expensive, you probably would REALLY regret getting involved with those 2:D,do you guys have the saying for bikes and cars of a "money pit"??,you don't think those hair styles cost $20, then you have the dental work, errm "custom bodywork upgrades:o" and the fact that they would NEVER eat in burger king, mcdonalds or wendys or any other resteraunt that wasn't at least $100 a head for a 2 course meal.Nah, stick to the bike-at least it won't complain when you drool all over the tyres:D:D (by the way this is just a bit of fun-NOT to be taken seriously).Johnny;)

Its a copy of Mick Grant and Graeme Crosbys works xr69 Superbike from 1981.
Mick kindly lent me his bike so that we could strip and copy it.
Michael Dunlop rode this one in the Manx Grand Prix and recorded a fastest lap of 119.59 mph . He was 2nd fastest of the whole meeting even against the modern bikes and only 5 seconds away from the outright lap record. Not bad for a '30 year old' bike!!!
There are some more pics here www.xr69.co.uk
Thanks for your interest.
Your bike is spectacular. I have to own one

That is a fabulous bike!
My first thought was the head looked like a Bultaco.

But you know, this is an international forum. So please post your location, then we don't have to guess.
Thanks!
Bill

Formula bantam is a UK thing...Oh dear the indignities you Poms do to those poor Bantams...nice job though.

This is my latest build finished. Built for New Zealand pre 72 rules.
Customer gave me a Villiers Starmaker 250 motor in bits, a Triumph conical front hub,a Benelli 650 rear hub, a couple of shocks, a rough set of forks and a secondhand fairing he wanted to use...
One of my frames, seat off our Aermacchi mould and the tank is I believe off a TR250 Suzuki mould.
Turned out nice I think - the owner is happy anyway.

These little two stroke race bikes didn't appeal to much to me until I saw them zip past me at the Ulster Grand Prix last year. Now I understand...................!
