DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

i just bought a 80 750 L off of my friend, we replaced the stock air filters with k&n air pods and he lost the air boxes so does anyone know if where i can get one and if it fit the air pod with it?

Welcome !!

Not sure what you're trying to do. Do you have individual pods on each carb ? If so, there's no need for any airbox.....

It's my belief that going as close to stock as possible is the best way, with both airboxes and stock jetting.:)

yes i have individual pods on each carb. it was like this when i bought the bike and i dont have a garage so the air box would help keep the water outof the carb

water?? .like when its parked and it rains?? get a motorcycle cover from any of several cycle catalogs...

I agree with Larry.

There are two types of "toys" IMHO.
1. Those that are bone stock, best with survivors and low mileage units OR
2. Those that will never see stock again (modded to the hilt)

Done correctly, I love them both... ;)

If the bike came with the pods I would wonder if the carbs have been jetted-Do you have the stock exaust on it?? I run pods and havnt run into any rain issues...not riding in down pours either though..haha

Greetings and Salutations!!

Hi Mr rhalt1,

You'll have to shop for an airbox in the "Parts Wanted" and "Parts for Sale" sections here in the forum or on Ebay. Your new pods will not fit inside the stock airbox. You'll have to use a stock air filter. Now let me say "HOoooooooDY!".... :D

Here is your very own magical, mystical, mythical, mind-expanding "mega-welcome". Please take notice of the "Top 10 Common Issues", the Carb Rebuild Series, and the Stator Papers. Now let me roll out the welcome mat for you...

Please click here for your mega-welcome, chock full of tips, suggestions, links to vendors, and other information. Then feel free to visit my little BikeCliff website where I've been collecting the wisdom of this generous community. Don't forget, we like pictures! Not you, your bike! :D

Thanks for joining us. Keep us informed.

Thank you for your indulgence,
