A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.
A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.
Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.
Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...
If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.
If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

problem with your theory is when the nut and stud corrodes and snaps off and then you cant remove the rest of the stud because it has corroded into the head. 2 bolts per cylinder. removed and lubricated regularly will last longer than the bike will.the whole idea of studding the engine is so you will NEVER EVER IN A MILLION YEARS have to take a bolt out to remove the exhaust. Who cares if it corrodes in there?? That will just keep them good and tight and thats that!! I did mine so i would never have to feel like i was crapping razor blades and praying everytime i had to take a bolt out!!!
why not just use ss bolts and anti sieze them regularly, say every 2 months? saves the cost and hassle of a nut splitter and it makes life a whole lot easier if you want to do a head refurb without struggling to pull 8 locktited studs from the exhaust ports. ss studs not regularly lubed will weld themselves in the head if not done regularly. they WONT last foreverAgemax..if the nuts rust or corrode on?? Thats the whole idea of STAINLESS STEEL studs..they dont rust or corrode!! Stainless steel washers and nuts too!! And for some god forsaken reason if they even seem a bit fussy just use a nut splitter and cut the friggin nut off!! Simple..effective ..and youll never have a snapped off exhaust stud ever again!!!
try getting a nut splitter on the inner No3 cylinder or a decent allen key on a well lubed allen bolt. i know which one will be easier to get out!a nut splitter cost about 5 bucks at any auto parts or hardware...and trust me youll never have to use it anyways.
you carry on struggling with your nut splitter then and i'll carry on with my allen key and a pot of anti siezeI am not gonna entertain this any further..i know what works and doesnt..so good luck to you.
a bit fussy just use a nut splitter and cut the friggin nut off!!Ive never ever ever ever ever ever had to use a nut splitter and dont own one!!!!! Get it??? that because the **** is stainless steel..Geesh
