A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

We went up into the Jemez Mountains yesterday to find a Christmas tree. I was sad and sort of glad to see lots of folks doing the same thing.

The forest is so overgrown that fires just ravage the area so thinning the trees out a bit is actually helping things. Plus getting out iinto the hills with the family makes for a nice Sunday afternoon.

A few shots from yesterday's outing.

This was a neat example of perspective. My wife took this shot of a cool tree on the edge of the cliff.

I took this of the same tree. (and edited it a bit)

Roger, that's so cool that you go up into the mountains to find a tree.

Around here its pre cut, or go to a tree farm.

Along those lines, I took this a few weeks ago. Unable to sleep, I was laying on the floor next to a kerosene heater. The flame casted a unique pattern on the ceiling around our skylight lens.

Cool shots you two....LOL...

All I have is the Dragon in December....Pretty empty, and everything closed.
Had zero cars in my way going up, only two going down. Mid 40s and damp...(even saw some ice).

Nice. Sort of like the road version of the beach in wintertime.
I'm assuming the intercooler job is finished.

My mother in law asked me to fix this old reel to reel tape recorder so they can listen to the past.
No real problems found. Some cleanup, etc was all. I plugged my old phone into the input port and enjoyed. Despite all of the technological advances, tube powered audio is still so nice to listen to.

The 124 looks great, Bob.
No cars/bikes on the Dragon should also mean no cops. Bet it was fun.

Just curious, do they make a removable hardtop for winter driving?

Yup....no tourists = no cops... It was fun.

They do make a hard top, but it is big $$$.
I run summer tires and avoid salt, so winter driving is not an issue.

Saw there was a freighter out in the lake. Looked like it was turning to head into the piers. So decided to sit there and wait, might be 45 minutes or so for it to make it into the channel. (Exciting life, eh?)

When it got closer to pier head, I got out and walked the beach. Took some shots of it along the way. But those are fairly mundane shots. Will not bother you with those.

As walking along I was noticing how the wind blows around the sand. Was streaks of fine sand in some areas, courser sand in others, pebbles in other, and shell fragments in others. But kept taking shots of the freighter coming thru the piers. Man, that thing is big.

Saw this, and took a quick shot.

Maybe should have spent more time looking over the sand formations.

Was also a handfull of surfers out in the lake. Only a calm breeze, so no real waves, but these folks are out there, mostly just bobbing up and down on small waves and slowly drift in to where have to turn and paddle back out. Maybe get a small ride, but not enough to standup.
Air temp was mid 20s, and I suspect the water temp is not much over 40.

Had occasional cloud openings for these sun rays, and then some walkers came along to add something to the foreground.
