Deliberate anti-social activity including personal insults, profanity, pornography, racism, threats and purposely inflammatory posts may result in suspension of forum access or possibly a permanent ban from GSR.

    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Random Photo thread

Haven't been hanging out here much lately but I see the photos are still amazing, even more so than usual. Also haven't been out shooting much the last while do forest fire smoke that's been choking thick, extreme heat and the backcountry just not a safe place to be due fire danger. Anyway we're out for our first extended trip with the RV since Covid struck and got down to the coast and Vancouver Island. Weather sucks with rain and wind but there are some hearty souls out there to photograph. Hopefully get some more shots over the next few days.

Looks a lot like Long Beach Sandy.
The figure with board and its rippled reflection make the pic. Good stuff.
This is a great time of year to travel with the kids in school and roads and campgrounds quiet and less crowded.

Would you mind telling me how to fix a gas tank dent and clacking noise? This is not my motorcycle it's my Dad.

Wrong forum, buddy. But welcome, anyway. Go to the main forum page, look for the appropriate sub forum that best suits these 2 separate but very involved issues. Before that, please create a signature under settings. Then go to the GS owners forum and tell us about your dad?s bike.

Sandy, I love the mood of that picture, and the broken up reflection of the surfer is great. Zooming in / cropping of the surfer makes for a nice image as well.

Bet you had to be ready, and only get one chance.
Interesting shot.

(Flicker app not cooperating. Will fix with desktop later.)

kiddo got away from me, and quickly got into the “baby no no” area.
He was having a good time inspecting all the apparatus on his moms triathalon exercise bike behind the “baby no-no” fence.

what does papa do? Notices the great lighting from window on an overcast day. and find a position for better view thru the barrier.

I got to work on a couple of bird shots from our trip last week. Weather sucked and didn't get many shots to pick from and were to earlier for migration opportunities so not a lot of subjects. The Kingfisher however was very cooperative which is highly unusual for them.

Haven't been on for a while but took these with my new cheep smart phone.

Sugar Cane territory up around where i live.........These are old sugar cane barracks. They have 4 bedrooms, a common room with kitchen and a separate shower/toilet block with rainwater tanks. Used to be dotted all over the landscape.

Got some unusual shots. here is the main building.

Bright cloudy day helped to make the colours bold and unusual
