Deliberate anti-social activity including personal insults, profanity, pornography, racism, threats and purposely inflammatory posts may result in suspension of forum access or possibly a permanent ban from GSR.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

An indoor, studio shot for a slightly different forum....:D

Very outstanding Bob. I'm seeing multiple shots and blended layers, correct? Also more than a simple bounce flash, lighting box? I clicked on the image to see it in Imageshack but just get a black screen.

Work bench with two overhead LED lights. White cardboard background.
Just two shots used, (dozens taken), body on and body off.
Had to clamp the frame in a stand so it wouldn't move when messing with the body.
And a tripod of course.
I merged the two photos in Affinity Photo, and masked everything outside of the see through part.

I though of your similar motorcycle photo I've seen.

Ha, thanks. Sears lens at F1.7. I had noticed that the edge of the field was falling into shadow which put the grasses in shadow, but in front of a sunlight background. I tried the same yesterday but missed the focus and only noticed in review that the blue looked nice. I went back this afternoon.

Lovely. I stopped by a spot this week hoping to get some pictures. The afternoon light was bright and harsh. I was wishing it was one of those ?sh1tty? days.

Thanks Glen. Ya. A sh1tty day in paradise. LOL

At work today. I brought the camera to the roof. Its an 8 story building, a midget among giants.

Interesting in general.
Also interesting that got the edges of the buildings to line up with edges of the reflective windows.

I suspect a lot of photographers take shots of that reflective building, but from the ground level (is a somewhat similar reflective building in Grand Rapids that see many pictures of), but you took opportunity for this uncommon and great view.

Still a great scene. But yah partly cloudy partly sunny makes for difficult picture.

And, let me say, is good to have you back to posting pics.

.

Thanks Dave. I didn't get out much most of this summer mostly due to wildfire smoke and extremely tinder dry conditions in the backcountry. Just not a healthy or safe thing to do. Ya, it's good to be back.
