A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.
Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.
Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...
If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.
If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.
+1 on that.I have used a set - reasonably decent but a little harsh & a heavy spring as stock. The machining is good but I couldn't say anything about the quality of aluminium material used.
They would be better than a worn out set of stock or similar
Have a Flickr album for the build: https://flic.kr/s/aHsm3YUhRfYou have any pics of the GT250 cafe? I built a 73 back in the late 70s. Would like to find another one now.
That's funny. I wonder where i can get those upgrade stickers for mine. lolThey can be upgraded.

I picked up an in the box set off Letgo for $50 buck and installed them on an 82 650L scrambler project I'm working on. It raised the rear an inch and a half and fit just fine. I can't tell how they work until I have the bike together, but I run 235-242 depending if I hit the buffet or not. Time will tell if they work well, but they sure look cool now. Now where can I get those stickers?Tried fitting them while I had things apart and they don’t fit unless I take off the helmet lock and maybe the lift bar. Anyone else run into this?
From what I've read they are decent, assuming everything is working as intended. Some claim the build quality is somewhat inconsistent in terms of oil fill and oil quality is questionable. This guy offers tuning for these shocks and there is a lot of positive feedback from the shocks he's reworked. http://chrislivengood.net/wp/
They can be upgraded.
