A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Did someone say water towers?
In a State with no water, we keep a lot of it around. ;)

Here's a couple of them:

Up on the hill.

This one holds 1.5 million gallons!

With tax time looming over the horizon, how about one of the many tax stores for the next tag?

I haven't had time to play; it was my birthday Saturday, had a lot of work to get done. Sunday was gorgeous, sunny, 47*, but my wife wanted to take me out to lunch, and buy me some new shoes I've been needing. She refused to ride pillion, as it was below 60*, she said she's a fair weather rider. It's going to snow for the next three days, sporadically of course, so no riding for a week anyway.:(

I had so much fun breaking in the new tires on the new to me bike that I ended up riding over 50 miles. :D
It was a cloudy/warm 45 degrees.

Daniel

Sweet bike. That bike looks just like the '81, I was suppose to be buying. I'm still waiting on the engine. 23 months now.:( I was going to get the tag, but I was stuck in a cage most of the day, Driving Miss Daisey. Tax Man will be on my hit list come sun up. And the next tag is going to be a real stinker.:-k

Buy them dead, spend a dozen hours on them and away we go...

You have got to love these GS series bikes! :D Cheap and easy to bring back to life. ;)

Daniel

Thats, the way I get mine. I just made the mistake with my first one, buying from a con man/ mechanic/ ^o. Lesson learned. Still, it's hard finding cheap 11s down here.

Wait for it............

Water treatment plant. Notice the wall, barbed wire and security gate. This one, got special treatment from Homeland Security, after 911. It's down the street from where the rich people live.

This one is down the street from where I and the non rich people live. We didn't get special treatment.:( I guess terrorists don't care about us.:-$

You are a stinker! :p
If no one else steps up to the plate, I can get one tomorrow.
I was busy working on the '80 1100EX project today.
Carbs were a mess!

Daniel

We are on nice CLEAN well water.
The folks in town can have their crap water. ;) :p

Next tag, choo choo's..

What???
No one on all of GSR lives within 50 miles of a train track?

Come on guys, it's not snowing and below 45 degrees everywhere in this Country.

Why own a bike if you don't ride it? :(

Daniel

Oh I rode yesterday but Didn't have time to go by a choo choo. I would hazard to guess that I have put more miles on my bike living in Canada during these winter months than almost everyone living in the "warm" United States! 6000kms (3600mi) since Oct 01. Just wait until spring! Lets hear some miles boys!:)

Obama was in town, no trains, no planes, nothing but backed up traffic.
I can walk to the tracks, but the train doesn't stop.

The next tag, is a local Honky Tonk, featuring, "The Good Ole Boys". Where they play both kinds of music, country and western. Blues Brothers reference, for those who don't get it.;)
120225_0004.jpg

Or any bar that has live music.

I googled Country Western Bars in Reno and this one came up north of town so off I went!
Woodrow's Tap room at 4600 N. VA. Street.
Even with good reviews on-line, the place was closed down! :(

So, off again and what do I see a block away on the other side of the road?
They moved! :)

DSC07757.jpg

I could have cheated and used this as the next tag but, I just wanted to show that it was a warm 44 degrees out.
And, to show off my new, impossible to find, factory backrest/luggage rack for the GSX1100G! :D
I got it from a nice gentleman in Tennessee last week. ;)

Why isn't anyone else out riding? I saw no other bikes in the 50 miles covered today.

DSC07752.jpg

Next tag is an animal shelter of some kind.

Now back to working on the '80 1100EX conversion...
