A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

OK, Bob, just for you, I "moved" to a non-handicapped spot.

Hmm.... Gonna have to do some thinking on this one. There's one in Stanley Park, but I've already used it. Time to hit Google and do some exploring.;)

We only have one band shell around here and I posted it as a tag just a couple of weeks ago. Is it ok to go get a pic of the same shell?
Sorry, I missed that one.

I went back a few pages (mine are 40 posts each), but did not see anything but a few churches and a BUNCH of bickering.
Your bandshell was 153 posts ago, evidently I did not go back far enough.

OK, if not the bandshell, go for the extra points. Find an amphitheater.

.

Good point. Although, anyone that rides is certainly crazy. ;)
And why would any idiot place the handicapped parking directly in front of the stage anyway???

Eric
Because the "idiot" that put it there is SMART. That handicapped parking is for people in wheelchairs (not their cars), so they have paved access to get to and see the concert/show.

If you looked at the other pictures, the entire area is an amphitheater, meaning that it's all a hill. In this case, a grassy hill. Not much fun for wheelchairs or people with walkers to hobble in and park their chairs.

Just another note, the concrete 'wings' that you can see at either side of the bandshell are used as part of the stage for plays, but during concerts, especially the "Big Band" concerts, they are dance floors. Very cool to see people out there dancing, espcially when they start doing the Jitterbug or the Charleston. :D

Shoot, just got home with my library picture, lol. And get this, when I went to get my next picture, I was AROUND THE CORNER from the amphitheater! BLARG, lol.

No amphitheaters around me that I can ride up to. :(
There is one at a campground, but I think a body was just found in the water by it this morning. I'm going out for a birthday ride after work, so I'll see if I can find it and see if its open.
Who knows, maybe the next tag will be a dead body. :p

Dead bodies count. ;)
Get that tag!

Eric

Pfft. Its near a park campground and now they charge $5 to even enter the area. Bastards.

TOO MUCH to charge just to see a dead body!
You could just go to a funeral for that.
What are they thinking?

Eric

A what???
Perhaps the guys/gals down in Arizona, Utah and New Mexico could start (hint, hint) playing the game now, eh?

Eric

Completely unintentional Eric. Tag has been amended to include the States you mentioned.:)

Why don't we add that it can be any carving as there are very few Indian tribes out this way that I've seen so far.

It's a shame the tag was changed....there is a guy about 90 minutes west of me that carves totem poles, but he is no Indian....

Google up totem poles and I bet there are some near all of us....just maybe not Indian carved....

I saw an indian here (Anchorage) the other day sitting on the sidewalk carving walruses and stuff (walri?) He had some good ones, but alas, I had no moto.

I guess they weren't all that large anyway.

I think the regional things that other regions can't do are fine. We don't have to be PC so every tag is easy or even possible for everyone. I can do ghost towns or frozen lakes in May, but I can't do whales or alligators or paddlewheel steamers. The local stuff all adds to the flavor of the game. You guys all have specialized things that other regions don't have, it's all good.

Well Garth good for you doing this Tag. I have thought about doing it but chickened out because I thought people would complain that it is a geography thing.:p Anyway I like tags posted that are not everywhere, makes it interesting. I of course can get lots of pics of totem poles where I live but not until tomorrow.:)
