    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

You should still post your picture up though...we like to see them, even if they are late...

I'm trying to figure out where I mind find a gargoyle hiding....

Not the grab, but since you asked...might look familiar to you Bob. DuPage Airport.

I'll be up in Bangor tomorrow, I recall Steven King had some on his roof... unfortunately I wont have the bike with me.

DAH, ya jerk! :p I was gonna get out there tomorrow! Nice one.

What's the next one?
In post 352 Allie specified a gargoyle as our next target. I'm racking my brain trying to think of one around here. I know several in the city but don't have time to ride down there right now.

I think any similar driveway statuary would fill the bill, it doesn't need to have wings and slavering jaws.

Oh....I think a gargoyle will do nicely...

And for my tag....hows about an anchor?
(A real anchor, mind you, not a coffee can filled with concrete...)

Dooh and me not with my bike road ready. Of course they frown on cameras on military bases. Let me tell the permission would take 2 weeks, sixteen phone calls, 2 dozen forms filled out ..twice, and a final signature from the Base CO. But I bet I got a bigger anchor than you got. lol.:D

A real anchor...

???? The Bases Ive been on, all over the world, have had airshows and open houses where everyone had a camera. How do you think the Japanese make those models of US military equipment so exact. You must be at a nuke sub base....

Long Grove, right?

Probably the only one in the area...extra tricky...:)
Long Grove is correct! Good eye :)

BTW...I think I rode past your gargoyle today. Is it on 25, just south of where 25 and Dunham Rd split?

Yes...just south of that construction area...it was actually a surprise...caught it out of the corner of my eye and went back for it...:)

I found a list of IL covered bridges, there are several in the area...
Unfortunately...the festivities are about to begin...

Yes, that is the train headlight....
