DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

You should've seen alternate tag I had in mind:

The original:

The upstart:

and the one representing the mobility connected young set for the trifecta:

These are the three car-sharing networks in Vancouver. If the dumpster tag is on hold, there must be something like these around in most of the (larger) US urban centres. I'm afraid 7981GS might get left out on this one though

Will probably take cruising to the zoos or aquariums for the dumpsters.
Really good graffiti would meet the tag (not just a tag of a TAG if you get my drift). Like Eric said animals are preferred, but not necessary. (TAG edited above)

I'm away from the computer all day today, so you'll have to get a consensus your tag is good.

By the way, old_skool, I've been remiss in not complimenting YOU on your 1000G. That looks great. Jessica saw it yesterday and fell in love with your seat/back rest. I think she was probably dreaming of it on our 6+ hour tour around the lower mainland yesterday.

The fade? You mean that 2 tone it had with the red? It will be back, but with a metallic charcoal gray. Just like original, just different colors. Hopefully next summer.

Yeah, it was unique. I forget everybody doesn't have year round riding. Now is the closest thing to a down time in Fl. It's been storming everyday at 3. Right when I get off work, so the only tag time I've been getting is on the weekend mornings. We don't have fancy dumpsters around. Not even the Mouse, all thiers are hidden underground or behind the scenes. I'm out on this one.

Lots of dumpsters here. But I swear Vancouver has the worst graffiti artists !
With the exception of the two BigD found.

It's still raining down there ?

Nobody even wants to graffitti a dumpster around here, much less paint "art" on one. I mean hell, it a dumpster...

Every afternoon around 3. We get the sea breeze rains. This is the middle of hurricane season. Ironically Issac down in the Caribbean has lowerd the rain chance for the next few days. So if this tag gets met or changed, I've got a few semi clear riding days ahead. If it turns all bets are off, time to batten down the hatches.

Oh crum. I didn't think a painted dumpster would be the hardest tag to get, but it's turned out to be particularly devious.

Don't forget about the ALTERNATE TAG (car-sharing, alternative ownership vehicles)

Is there one near you?

I might have to extend the tag further...any suggestions on what to include? How about nature-theme painted garbage trucks? They are mobile dumpsters!

We/I have never even heard about ride sharing cars. Yeah, we have tons of those around here.
Just like painted dumpsters and trash trucks. They are everywhere!

How about a picture of your bike next to the latest device that landed on Mars this month?
That one, we can probably do. ;)

Eric

We have car sharing businesses. They're called, Enterprise, Hertz, National, Budget, etc... Canada... What a trip... :D

I keep forgetting that with all of the available space to live in Canada, we are now a more urbanized population by percentage than you lot south of the 49th.

I also forget that Vancouver is somewhat leftist politically, and green (no, not THAT kind of green) philosophically. I knew the car-share alternate tag was far out, but they do exist in some of the major centres (Seattle/Portland/even the L.A. area) and out east there are some in Boston/Chicago/Detroit.

At this point I am open to suggestions and creativity in meeting the tag. If nobody has it by 12:00pm Eastern tomorrow, then I acknowledge we will have come to a dead end, and I appoint 7981GS to post a new tag as I'll be out of town until Sunday night.

I know that BCCap can meet the car-share tag, though...even if he is on the Island (hint, there are cars in Victoria AND Nanaimo)

There was a car share thing on my daughter's campus parked right next to my bike. That was a little while ago, unfortunately.

Sure there was... :-\\\ :p
Like the teachers used to say back in grade school: "Did you bring enough to share with the whole class?"
