DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

That's the way it's played. You have to get the original tag first, then you get to post a new tag of your choice. Just try to make them something that is possible to most. Tom, white water rafters may be tough, at least it is here. We have white water surfers. I hope they aren't rafting through a lava field. lol

Sweet! Glad you made it out before dark and rain gets there. Forgive my impatience with the double tag. The Rio Grande has some great rafting about a hundred miles north of here, but it's too shallow locally. Road trip??

It will be. They don't come out until it warms up a bit.
When I was a teen my family went rafting. I think it was Browns Canyon or something like that. Most of the day was slow going, but when we hit the rapids wow, that was a blast, it wasn't white though, the river was clay colored. I remember our guide pointing out the plateau they used in the Chevy commercials. I think their base was in Salida or something like that. I remember seeing cacti floating past us several times.

Here's your river rafters.

Sorry, no floating cacti.

And since I was slow, here's another.

Whitewater?? We're lucky to even have a trickle of water this year. Can I just take a pic of my pool and bike while I'm churning up the water with a rubber duckie?

I'll find water but if there's canoes or kayaks they better be carried, or amphibian crafts. We'll see. It's been raining more lately so I guess it's possible. I'll go down to the river shortly.

So what's the tag? White water or Rafter's? Both... I'm with Lurch, not going to be able to participate unless allowed to be "creative".

You can't tell me there are no whitewater rafters in Vermont. You guys all act like you have mountains, there's no rivers in the mountains? Or no one turns off their TVs to go outside and play in the water? I bet there are commercial guided raft trips in about thirty or so states. The point of this is to go ride, like I did.

What about all you riders in the rest of the world? This is an easy tag for most anyone except maybe those in Florida or Louisianna. I have seen rafts gong down whitewater in a lot of states and countries.

Be about a hundred and twenty five miles for me. Nice ride though. Getting anywhere near Hell's Gate for a picture of the bike and rafts is another matter. No roads down there. Good tag though. Somebody must have some white water running by a road......

All I'm saying is with little snow in the mountains last winter for spring runoff or much rain this summer, I won't be able to find whitewater. That just means I won't be after this tag...then again I haven't done much with this game lately.

Rafter's no... Biggest tributaries to fit rafts are pretty slow moving in my neck of the woods.. Tubing though... Thats Frickin' every where. I'll look into this though. Like I said if I can be creative I can post a picture of a raft in white water ;)

I gotta get some new rubber on the road before going any further here. I'll still enjoy seeing what you all come up with though.

Ok, new rubber on the ground, I'm headed for the rapids. Its about 2 hours north of here and the forecast looks iffy. We'll see about rafters, but have fun riding im sure.
