A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Hey guys. I assumed our American friends do this in their parks as well. If that is not the case, let me know and I'll change the tag.:)

There is a really nice restaurant in Yosemite National Park.
Pricing is not too sky high and the atmosphere is great.
It is a long ride from here though. :(
There might be one close by. I will have to look.

What about city parks ? I don't want to slow the game down. Lots of our former run down beach houses that used to house hot dog stands have been converted to nice restaurants.

There is a nice restaurant on the beach at a State Park in Santa Barbara down by the pier. ;)
I am certain that we have several members near there.

Nope its a local shop that only hires female mechanics. Apparently it is very difficult for girls to enter the trade. The owner told me that it makes female customers more comfortable, the girls don't try to tell him how to run his business, and dirty old men like me keep coming back.:D
That is one hell of a business plan he got there. He just needs to work on the uniforms.

There not allowed to piay in Cali, the tax is too high.

Just read that article you posted. What a great idea for the Parks Board. They get rid of an eyesore and make a few bucks. They also did it at Kits as well. Cactus Club pays for the building construction, pays rent, and forks over a percentage. Here is a before and after picture.

Closest thing I can think of is Blue Springs State Park, they have an old flour mill that was converted into a make your own pancake house. I'll see if I can pull up some info on it. I haven't been there in years.

Looks like a cool park. Can you get a good view of the manatees ?

Oh yeah, they come there and live there during the winter. The water is 70f year round and they are warm blooded mammals. I'll see if I can get some photos this winter. After a frustrating search with my 3G flip phone, it's DeLeon Springs State Park farther north. Old Spanish Sugar Mill is the pancake house. Like I said, it's been awhile.

I can't believe nobody got this yet:

One Restaurant in a park. Well hidden behind the park-y structures.

Too many errands in the Yukon(family taxi) to do after work yesterday. My wife has finally desided to stop driving, except for emergances, so it all falls to me. With after school sports and other chores, I'll be lucky to get many tags during the week. Not that I wont try. I can get two, maybe all three of these tags, if I get everything done early enough. Central Florida has no shortages of golf courses and colleges. Luck will have to be in play to pull off a hat trick.
