DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

WHAT BOX??? There is nothing to check or uncheck. Host the picture (upload it) on ANOTHER site, not GSR. COPY the link to that picture that is given by that site. PASTE that link here. No boxes to check or uncheck, if you are clicking on boxes to "Insert Image", you are doing it wrong.

.

Sorry Steve, but that's how I've been doing it. I guess I'm doing it wrong.

What say you about the clock thing? Looks like the rain let up and theres a few clocks I could get to before dark. I'll also tweak my photo of the wishing well if need be.

Edit; can't tweak pics. or copy and paste. PB sucks, flickr doesn't work. I got pics of the clock, but what's the point? I'm done, gonna drink beer now!

Looking at the Oblique, it has Roman numerals going from 1 at the bottom and count's up to 12 hear the top, but I'm not quite sure how it works. Well a little Googling helps. The tag is good. The current tag is Rogers wishing well. In the immortal words of Freddie Mercury, "get on your bikes and ride".

The clock tower is a legacy landmark to mark the year 2000 and the new millennium.

The Millennium Clock Tower was the the subject of a controversial design competition, was designed by Gowling & Gibb Architects of Calgary. The project is a 21-metre tall obelisk fabricated of Alucobond housing a poorly-sized LED clock. As an interpretation of time it houses a GPS device that controls fibre optic displays in each of 12 horizontal reveals that encircle the tower.

Thanks for sorting out the clock thing Rick. I got pretty flustered with the software but it looks like the pic hosting site is back up and running.

Here's a better shot of the well.

Picture of a well as requested...

This is at Tissington which has 6 wells in the village which is famous for it's 'Well Dressing' tradition.

and the next challenge is an outdoor market. Cattle market, stock market, christmas market, whatever...

Well well, looky there :p It's always neat seeing what you come up with Cyranno.

We have a flea market at the fairgrounds on most weekends. Its like a centralized yard sale where most of the unsold stuff on Craigslist winds up.

(Not the next tag, just another shot of the outdoor market)If fleas aren't your preference, there's bedbugs too! A stack of mattresses for sale which I'm sure have never been used.

The next tag is a gas pump with a TV on it. These things are popping up all over the place now. Or maybe something I just noticed since Redman brought it up.

Hopefully that gas pump TV is easy enough to find in other places. I will say my first pick yesterday was much more interesting, but probably more difficult to find in some places. I got right behind the starting gates at the horse race track before the security guard came over. He didn't even get out of his car so I pulled up next to him on the bike to say hi and explain what I was doing. Without even rolling the window down he just waved to say hi so I did the same and went back to the parking spot behind the gates and snapped some pics. Maybe I will use that spot another time.

Our local WAWA just installed non ethanol pumps and guess what it has.

I hadn't realised my lens was blurry at the next tag. I didn't have my pair of good eyes on, it looked good at the time. This is what I see without them. lol

I could go back and take something better, it's not that far away, but the tag is an outdoor fitness apparatus. You can find them a sports parks, running trails, even at some schools.

Hey, cool.

Wait, is that next tag a hint that we've been spending too much time in front of a lighted screen and need some exercise?

Here is the outdoor exercise stuff...only a pullup bar, situp bench and step thingie. I took my grandkids here the other day to show them that Grandpa could still do all those things.

Next tag is along getting out and exercising....a trail head. This is Bald Knob Mtn trail I did today. It's only 1.1 miles up but an 1100' vertical gain. Fairly steep ascent akin to taking the stairs of the Empire State building, only with loose, uneven steps and no railing.

Or if you're lazy, a tag with a city or town welcome sign that ends with "BOROUGH"

Here's the bike from the top looking down at the red arrow....

:encouragement::applouse: that's great lurch. I had a hard time finding any grown up monkey bars close enough to the road. The trailhead I'm sure I can get to. Wont be for a couple of days though.

This is perfect riding weather with high temps in the low 60s. I went up to the trail head that ascends the West side of our Sandia Mountains. Really fun twisty road heading up there.

If acceptable, how about a dam for the next tag. This is part of the flood control spillway in Albuquerque. We get 2 inches of rain in one day, then nada for months. Our kids call this the typewriter dam.

After the dam pic, I grabbed a couple other pics for possible alternate tags just in case the dam proves too hard to get.

A couple of quick google searches to satisfy my own curiosity revealed that the US alone has more than 75,000 dams. The UK, England and Whales have over 2,300 not all inclusive but still in the thousands.

Canada has hundreds of large dams and thousands of smaller dams.

With numbers like that most anybody has a dam for irrigation, flood control, reservoir, hydroelectric etc nearby?

No one wander off the dam tour and please take all the dam pictures you want. Now are there any dam questions?

Sorry I couldn't resist.

Went to what I thought was a state park and it turned out to be a national park. Nice day for riding though so the search continued.

Here's a state park.

Next, a theater. Not for movies, but live shows.

I've gotta get a better camera. Ya'll's pictures look so much better than mine. The S6's camera is probably pretty good but I think the waterproof case I'm using isn't helping any.
