A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

This is a very upscale barber shop for gentleman, not to be confused with a gentleman's club as with scantly clad gals. I doubt I'll be one of their clients as the cost clippers place works fine for me.

New tag, a place that caters specifically to woodworking.

Excellent!! There are two of these such woodworker stores right down the street from the Suzuki dealer....and I have to pick up a couple of seals I ordered. As long as the rain subsides, I'll have one up tomorrow or Friday.👍🏻 Nice job....I feel like I have an unfair advantage living in Orlando. We literally have everything here...it's like the Rule 34 of searching for stuff.

Found the woodwork, will only let me put 1 pic at a time on. next post will be new tag

Awesome! Nice big pics too:encouragement:

I don't think anybody will be gazing through your telescope tonight with the cloud cover there :(

The university here I'm sure has some sort of observatory. Maybe check it tomorrow.

Had a setback today. Maybe this weekend I can get out sometime.

C'mon folks. Any others live near an observatory?

Busy weekend but a conference I'm attending had a two hour break so here's the observatory.

Next up for the new tag, a student project. Could be flight, building, automotive like this one or any student learning project, college or otherwise.

These engineering students get to tinker with the UNM owned cars. Electrical, mechanical, and chem students participate in this program. Of these three cars out today they're running engines from a CB 600, KTM 450, and a snow mobile. They were excited to share what changing out or modifying different parts did to performance.

The race car and go cart tags were pretty recent, so any student project. This was just too cool to pass up.

What do you guys think about the student project tag? Too obscure??

Is easy for me...the labs are two blocks from my office. May be difficult for others. The have 2 golf carts, a scooter and bikes in our lab.... depends on you. I know I can do it, but don't want to monopolize the thread/game.

... don't want to monopolize the thread/game.

To this I'd say.....

Nice! Did you see the column explode? That would be cool.

I've got some ideas for this one.

They crush them in the Engineering II building then bring them over to the "bone yard". Huge CAD hydraulic press. Worked here 2 years...seen a lot.

Here's an inappropriately named apartment complex. Will that do? I ran a couple hundred miles around the state today and this is the best I could come up with. I was going to use the Rio Grande (River Big) which was at the time I passed through last year just a tiny stream making it more like the Rio Pequeno (river little). Much to my surprise it was full and healthy now.

So, here's what I got. It's called The Shores and there's no water in sight! The street names are even misleading people to believe there's some sort of lakefront property here, lol.

If that's accepted, the NEW TAG is with larger than life sports equipment, ie; football, cricket whacker thing, hockey sticks, or a big statue of an athlete with such equipment would work.
This is our pro baseball stadium, AAA minor leage team, The Albuquerque Isotopes. The name cam from a Simpsons cartoon.

close enough.... I knew it would be a tough one. Larger than life sports equipment.... no problem.

i was going to get a pic of one of the giant surfboards outside Ron Jon Surf Shop in Cocoa Beach this weekend... police were not too happy about me walking my bike up onto the store frontage area where the signage it located. I explained what I was doing...only thing that saved me a ticket was my retired Navy ID. "it would be best if you didn't come back today" was the quote. I'm going to have to look elsewhere...figured it was a sure thing since I was going to the Grant Seafood Festival and was beach side all weekend #saltlife. I know where some oversized sports memorabilia is at...may be a week or two as bike week is next week.
