DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

New tag: A crane. Preferrably a larger one(Doesn't have to be this big. :p)

I had it lined up for a great shot, then it swung around. :(

And a better picture, but from a week or two ago when I tried to make it a tag before.

You beat me to it!:twistedevil: My clutch cable broke on the way home. Guess I'm out of luck, I'm replacing the clutch cable, but I don't know off the top of my head where a crane is working.

Dang, were you able to make it back?

I've been contemplating putting a trailer hitch on the cage so next time my bike breaks down, I can rent or borrow a trailer and haul it back. I'm tired of working on my bike in the middle of a crummy neighborhood.

Riding with no clutch is really no big deal. Maintain a little extra following distance (12-14 seconds),be extra careful at intersections, if you have to stop, shift to neutral, stop, shut the bike off, shift into 1st, start it in gear and go. No big deal. I had an extra clutch cable on my parts 850, just finished installing it.:D Shifting without a clutch is real easy, match road speed and rpm up and down, I do it all the time. I use the clutch so little I was surprised the cable broke. I guess if I was always using it, it would've broken sooner.

I picked up a throttle lock. Fits like ****. :/ I need to just tinker with it and get it in the right spot

Ok I got home from work then had to ride back into town to get this pic and I knew it was gonna rain but I thought if I get in and back quick I won't get caught. Wrong! All for a game.:p So here is the crane.

I'm going to take a break from my computer and doing my taxes by noon (couple of hours) and I'll just have to ride out and get that tag.:D

I'm out for today, feeling sick. Plus its pouring out.

I thought it always rained in Washington State. Not a normal day if it didn't:D. When I rode my bicycle down the coast from Victoria B.C., I had two days of no rain on the Olympic Peninsula, the rain started on the 3rd day (every day after that I had at least 3 hours of rain, ride out of one squall, into another one or two until I got to southern Oregon). The locals in a little cafe I stopped in said, "Thank God, the drought has broken". It had been 4 days without rain...... That's a drought?

Pretty much. We don't have it as bad here as the west side. I technically live in a desert. *scratches head*
I think we get about 19 inches of rain a year. October through a couple weeks ago we already had 15 inches. Seattle's annual is like 35 or something.

And 1-5 inches of snow today and tonight. :(

A little known fact about Victoria is that we get 50% less rainfall in a year than Vancouver and Seattle. When I moved here 8 years ago, after 42 straight days of sunshine, I said to a new friend of mine that grew up here "I thought it rained all the time here" and he said "don't tell anyone, we don't want more people moving here".:D

I'll get it in a few, running the wife around in the cage. Hang in there Trevor. Did you forget to take your lunch time meds?

Another little known fact. Victorians lie a lot ! That's why we keep our legislature there. We want them to be comfortable.;)
