A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Well today I got to take my last ride on my 1100. I rode her about 50 miles to drop her off at her new owners house. It was a bitter sweet goodbye as she was my favorite bike. But I guess if I want to move on to bigger and better bikes I needed to let her go.

I gave the guy my GS Resources card and told him that he should join and hang with the fine folks on here. He also owns a 1980 gs850g that he said he bought new off the showroom floor. So I hope the 1100 is in good hands.

You've accomplished three things here my friend.
One, you're taking a step toward a new chapter in your motorcycling life (one with a Bandit probably ;) )
Two, you've given her a good home with another GS to play with and an owner who likes the breed
Three, you've probably shown someone The GSR and now their original owner bike can be brought back to full glory with the help of the fine pepole here.

Good onya. Now, we got lots to do tomorrow, so don't stay up all night weeping into your pillow :p

I haven't yet sold a GS. I don't relish the idea. I hope when the time come I can sell to a GS lover.

The 850L is my first love. I rarely ride it anymore, but I still enjoy wringing it out. Hmmm. It might be time for a maintenance ride.

The 1000G, well, I only think about something newer when I'm not actually riding it. It doesn't need much wrenching anymore, so what do I have to complain about?

I havent even thought about selling a bike. Last night i took thge plate off the 78 1000 C which is legal and slapped it on then Cooley and rode that for a while. I hadnt taken her out for about a month or so..I just couldnt resist.
