Snap Ring Tools

Will any of these reach down to the snap ring to get the needles out on CV carbs??

If not what is recommended? Is there a special long nose set or something??

They look too short to reach the clip on BS carbs. I never found a set that I could fit, although some people did manage to modify a set by grinding to make them work. I have also heard of hemostats (surgical clamps) working. I used a pair of ice picks, but it did involve some swearing. After I had needles out a couple of times I did get reasonably good with them, though.

Yup. I found a very small diameter, long nosed, spring opening set of needle noses at Sears that were jsut the ticket. I think they were about $7.

I've got these exact pliers and they reach down to the clip no problem.

I bought a cheap pair of needle nose pliers from harbor freight. I then put a notch in the ends to catch the circlip.

I saw these in an old post and bought them. Worked right out of the box. I think they went up in price though.

Those are the ones I bought. Great pair of pliers that will
do more than just circlips also.....
