A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Stator, The GSR travelling mascot.

I'm just saying that if you read most of the threads on GSR 90+% TALK about riding and less than 10% actually do. If you ride less than a few weeks each year,
how many years must you ride to actually have a years' worth of riding experience? Perhaps this has something to do with the 75% of members that have crashed in that poll thread? :-\\\
Stator would be parked in a garage or basement most of the time. :(

Or maybe some of us ride every chance we get and don't post about it because 3-6 days a week of posting 'rode to the store, then took some back roads, ended up at a friend's place where we worked on his brother's truck, took back roads home.' is boring for everyone.

Yep, that pretty much covers it. LOL Being in Fl, it is a rare day I don't spend a couple of hours on the bike. Besides being my hobby, the bike is also my primary transportation. My van usually sits in the driveway.
I lost count of my road miles about 25 years ago at 500,000 or so and I spend nearly as much time on two wheels now as I ever did.

Stator is alive and well and arrived in Finley this morning.I've got a couple of rides planned for him in the next couple of weeks so stay calm and if you want to be his next chauffer put your name forward.

Send Stator to me and I will get him started in the PNW.
V

My thoughts would be. Send him to dpep in Florida this Spring(Don gets around to all the Rallies) Then pass him off to the PNW guys for the fall/winter (they ride all year) Stator could then make his way down the west coast and eventually to tkent. tkent could then take him to Europe... my $.02

Or maybe some of us are waiting for the weather to settle down a bit more than it has.....:-\\\

I think another Stator should be started in the States and Canada and in Europe. By the time the original gets here or else where many of us might not be riding any longer lol. Impose a time limit where Stator II can spend at one area. Make it sort of a contest, how many miles each Stator can accumulate.

Not a bad idea.......;)

I am all for this idea.....^^^^^^^

Otherwise, I probably won't even have a bike by the time the Stator gets to my neck of the woods, or it will be winter again...LOL

I think it's going to take at least a year just to go through one country. If the journey is completed we could always exchange with another country and do it again. We would get loads more pictures a lot faster, and that's half the attraction to me.....

We are moving a flag on kzrider. It took us a year to get it from the east coast to the west coast. We hope to finish this year. I would say 1 year, 1 continent. It does not help when you have a delay such as just seen.

It will be difficult to move across Kanada. We have a couple of members in Alberta and Saskatchewan, nobody that I'm aware of in Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec are fine, and a few in the Maritimes. Some shipping might have to be done. But why not ? It's supposed to be fun not long.....

Or you can come on a road trip and visit the centre of the universe......

Someone was talking about moving to Manitoba not two weeks ago I thought.
Something about Thompson.....

Oh yeah... I remember something about that now that you've twigged my memory....Oh we can pull it off. If it gets stuck somewhere we can ship it to the closest next guy in the chain.... The problem with going to the center of he universe is you have to spend a long time on a straight road in a black hole....:p
