A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • This forum is for placing reviews for parts, accessories, gear and service as it relates to your GS motorcycle. The key here is "GS Related". There is a bit of latitude here but we don't want to see a review on Maytag washers just because that's what you use to clean your riding jacket in.

Keep your review as factual as possible and please refrain from personal attacks. Posted articles will be reviewed by the Editors and may be removed at their discretion.

So let's make this a useful addition to the forum! A special pat on the back goes to Hap Call for coming up with this great idea.

The views expressed in this forum are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of "The GSResources" or the editors.

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Suzuki Dealership that actually works on GS's

I have seen many posts on lousy dealerships and thought I would post this one as one of the good guys. I purchased my 82 new from them in 82 and have been using them for service and repairs if I do not have the time or ability to do the work myself. The shop
manager (Scott) has been there since before I purchased my 82 and he definately knows the GS series. I am a friend of his and he actually prefers working on the "old school" bikes.
They also have a number of customers that bring thier bikes in from the Chicago area so he can work on them. I have no financial affiliation with this dealership other than being a 25+ year satisfied customer.

My local dealer will work on them as well with no complaints. Regardless, I still do most everything myself - part of the allure.

The owner has a bunch of old Suzukis from the early 60s to the mid 90s, including a 93 GSX1100G with a sweet side car. A real nice guy. I especially like his mint El Camino.

I've been told by a number of people around here that no Suzuki dealer will work on a bike more than 10 years old. I knew I was in trouble when the parts guy had to get out the micro fiche to check part numbers when I went in asking for Mukuni VM jets.

I called around here looking for a part, now i cant even remember what, i think a MC rebuild kit, and when i told the guy what my bike was and what i wanted i got "Why?" Some people just dont understand i guess.
