A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are interested in providing parts and/or service to GSResource members it is expected that you will 1) keep customers informed on the status of their order, 2) you will reply to customer emails and PM's in a timely manner, 3) you provide what is agreed to in a timely manner. If personal circumstances prevent you from doing this, then you are expected to inform the customer before any transaction takes place. Failure to follow these basic business rules will force me to ban your forum account and list you in the Deadbeat forum.

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Suzuki GS Fork Cover Emblems

eil

Forum Sage
Hi All,

A few years back when I bought my current ride ('79 GS850G), it was missing a fork cover. I managed to find one with the chrome still intact, but it needed an emblem. Predictably, these are no longer available. Well, my wife had a nice vinyl cutter and one thing lead to another, and now I've been selling these for fun. (Note: These are not one-off eBay listings, I keep these in stock and make more when they run low.)

These are made of automotive-grade vinyl and not metal like the OEM emblems. But if you seal them up with a light hit of clear-coat, you would be hard-pressed to tell the difference from 3 feet away. Emblems are shipped with detailed application instructions.

If your bike isn't listed below, you can send me your fork cover. I will make up some emblems for you, and then send those back to you. The emblems would be free and I will pay return shipping for everything. I am willing to entertain custom designs, or other emblems but custom projects will likely have a custom price.

I currently have four variants and I use the Suzuki metal emblem part # because it helps me keep things straight. Click on the pictures to be taken to the listing.

I'm very grateful to the GSR community for getting me started on my bike-wrenching journey so in appreciation of that, GSR members get a discount. When you go to the listing, click the "Make Offer" button. Enter a price of $10 and leave a note saying you found the listing here on the GSR forum.

Thanks,
Charles
