A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.
Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.
Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...
If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.
If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.
Got mine's at the hardware store (Lowe's) for $1.29 a pair. I'm gonna take a look around the shop tomorrow and see if I can come up with sheet metal. They look pretty good. I got some hose clamps for mine but I think those would be much better, just have no idea where I'd get them around here.
I used a sheet of galvanised steel for mine, can't remember how thick it is off the top of my head though.
Pete - I saw those clamps the other day in my local auto shop (Streets Auto Spares, Arana Hills). They had them in all different sizes for not too many $$$.
I'd assume SuperCheap would have them too??
Whaaaaaat?Never mind about the plans. The bike is for sale and I'm serious this time. Just too much problems. Don't want to deal with them and just want to ride. Looking to move on to another bike...
I already have a few bites. Letting it go for like $600...

Yes, this X2Oh come on!
Don't be such a pansy, it's probably some frayed wire or some nonsense like that.
Don't sell it to some douchebag for a pittance!
Just seems like a lot of wasted time and effort...and only $600 for the bike? I'd buy it from you in a heartbeat if you were in my area.Meh... Been a whole year rebuilding and replacing everything. All wires checked and good. Good grounds. Duaneage R/R. Good electrical components. What else is there to check? I literally went through the whole electrical system with new parts. Even spent $500 for a brand new igniter.
I know I sound like a lil' bitch right now but I don't want a project. I just want to ride... Hope you guys understand that. Don't worry, I have my eyes on another GS I spotted on craigslist... A GS500.
At this time, I am not parting out my GS450. Only selling as a complete package for $600.
Thanks but my mind is made up. Very hard to let this bike go but I must...Dont sell it!!!
