DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Hi!
Has Suzuki published factory shop manuals for the 1981 GS650? If so, where can these be purchased?
Since OEM shop manuals are available for my other bikes, I was surprised to locate only Clymer manuals for my GS650.
Any insight would be very appreciated! :)

If anyone will have it, it's these folks:

http://repairmanuals.com

If they don't have it, go to eBay and prepare to wait... and bring lots of money.

At least your dollars are worth more than ours now!

i have sent you an email about the manuel.

Hi!
I notice that we live in the same neck of the woods.
I have sent you a PM because I have not received your email yet.
Later ... :)

I have compiled an entire microfische / parts list as a .pdf file for the GS650GL. You're welcome to a copy if you would like. I usually refer to it first then to the Clymer's manual. I find that once I see the exploded view, the whole concept just falls into place easily.

That would be great! Thanks for the generous offer! I'll be checking my email! \\:D/

At least someone's happy:

1 EUR = 1,4017 USD

sorry...

best regards,

gert

I think I got one at Babbitt,s. It wasn't cheap though. I think it was $60 or so.\\:D/

I would love to get a copy of that also, if you don't mind me horning in on your convo.....thanks in advance.....

I checked Alpha Sports online micro fiche and they list a service manual available for the 81-83 GS650G and GL for $89. It's listed under the 82 model year. Pricey, but the real deal and brand new.

You guys obviously haven't been to England lately. Financial disasters aside, the Brits still have all of us beat.

1 British pound = 2.0069 U.S. dollars

I bought my 1980 GS 450L manual (another hard to find) from Repair Manuals.com for about 72.00 USD. That was immediately after I was outbid on e-bay after waiting for six weeks for one to appear and finally got fed up. Don't bother with your local Suzuki dealer -- they'll sit on a manual order forever because there's little to no kickback on those. Just bite the bullet and do repairmanual.com -- its worth it.
