Nice bike any which way. :)

The black fender looks good but does not fit the wheel contour very well.

The extra disc looks good but is a waste of sprung weight if you are not an aggressive rider.

I like the aluminum wheels better than the spokes.

Questions now:

1) Still have that stock exhaust and want to sell it?

2) Is that the stock seat cover or an aftermarket? My 550E seat looks different.

Thanks.

Yes I still have the stock exhaust....But I can't sell it. Every time I sell a part, I end up needing it back.

I'm not sure about the seat. The bike originally came from California. It may a custom job...I don't know.

Stage 3 is smoin'.
It would look even better with that front fender painted body color.

Sent from my iPhone.

The stage IV pic doesn't really show the bars and headlight/fairing mods very well. JMO.

I didn't vote because I know You will never Stop.:-D

Nah, can't go any further without cutting...But, I'm against chopping old bikes up. Everything I've done to this bike can be reversed. Same goes for the 1000.

Every time I see a GS with the frame all cut up, it hurts.

I'm diggin the stage IV, but I think that you should put the previous fender back on, but painted to match. Keep the spokes. Maybe get the full dual caliper set up for the front.

Just my .02, still think it rocks!

I'm thinking, paint the fender, stick with the chrome pipes and superbike bars and you've got it just right. But hey , It's your ride, Do what you like. The paint job looks great. Any way you go about it, you definatley have not done any kind of disservice to the original bike. I bet it's really happy. Just ask it.

Good onya 8track

Thanks for sharing the pics

Whats wrong with disco???????????????????\\:D/\\:D/

I know You would Never Compromise the Integrity of the Bike ie Chop/Bob, I said You would never Stop.:) BTW, for the Record, I'm partial to Stage III. (It's a 1980 mag Wheel thing):-D

I need a spokes and superbike option :)

You know my feelings already.

I love spokes, but haven't found a set I can afford or in decent shape yet.
I have superbike bars on my S, I had clubmans on my GT750......the Triumph has risers. So depending on the bike and seating position, I can take any of em.

Paint the fender to match the fairing, and chrome the exhaust.
The flat black takes away from the bike.

just my opinion.

That will be stage V.
They look cool but...These d@mn bars are killing my girlie wrists. (no offense to any girls that happen to have girlie wrists) 8-[

Btw, that pipe does look like h#ll, but it sounds GREAT...It's the only reason it's still on there. Mac is the only company that still makes a 4 into 1 for a 550...It doesn't sound like mine.

Nice looking anyway you've had it Jeff.

The chrome/clean aluminum engine with the chrome pipes does look pretty nice. I like black engines with chrome or black pipes but chrome is my favorite pipes on an engine like that. Isn't a MAC 4-1 only about $150-175 on eBay?

Which bars are hurting your girlie wrists, the clubman's or the supers? Is that the medical term your doctor used to describe it? Must be an HMO doctor! :-D

What brand of cafe fairing is that Jeff? I'm considering one for my bike.

The spokes look good but so do the mags, I guess I'd stay with spokes on a 550 though. The chrome fender seems to go with the paint scheme better to me but maybe a cut down in it's length would help it "cafe" the look more? You can use a self adhesive sanding disc as a template, thats what was used on my fender. Took about 4-1/2" off each end, made a world of difference to the look of the bike IMHO.

For some odd reason maybe a certain shade of green paint on it would look good too... but then again that's just me.... :-D
