A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

The "Scraps Racer" project

OK, I guess if you won't sell me a set, I'll have to watch the fine job you are doing..... More pictures please!:dancing:

Made spacers for the wheels & brake discs, changed wheel bearings, ultracleaned the carbs and
made seat under part to the tail:

Doesn?t happened much with the project bike in last month.
Had only one day "garage time".

Start with the fuel tank finishing. I grind away the welds on the top of the tank and
start sanding down all small bumps.
I modified the original footpegs to look more "racy" (not finished yet).
The seat is nearly done.

I've got a question about the aluminum sheet you used to form the tank and tail piece. Do you know the designation of the material?
I've got US standard 14 gauge 5086, 5083, and 5456 in my shop and was wondering exactly what you used?

I don?t know the numbers, but it is "marine grade" aluminum.
It?s harder than standard aluminum and more chemically resistant.

The fuel tank and seat "bubble" sanded.
Today I made the tank belt. Next thing is to made new fastener to the oil cooler.

glad to see you are back....and even happier to see an updated pic!

that is a way cool tank! You have some talent there mate!

I get the oil cooler fastener welded. Under seat is not the best place for oil cooler, but it looks "cooler" there.

Does that tank belt have any function?

Either way it is damn sexy!

... and so is the location of the oil cooler !

Gorgeous work! You are very talented sir. The mufflers look great, really like the classic megaphone look.

Amazing. Is that a single POD air filter element attached to the quad port airboot?

i shouldn't be suprised really that you decided to MAKE your own mufflers, should i? ;)

though, for the size of the bike and espec the tank and the engine i *think* i'd like to see something a bit bigger. maybe... :-k

anyhow, i think I see a front mudgard being fabricated soon :)
