    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

The turd

I posted the bike on Vintage Suzuki Motorcycle group on Facebook. Theres an aaahole there named HAL CASEY that has taken a liking to harassing anything i post or comment on. The latest from him....

Sure is a good thing you didnt have to diagnose any problems with thst bike...LOL. And you must not have read the bible ...you cant lap Suzuki valves. Really???

groups have some nice bikes and are a good source for parts. In general, the entire social media platforms are all frought with thier far shares of nonsense

Turned out real nice, Chuck. You should be proud of the work you've done and to receive that as a gift from you and his son is above and beyond generous.

Just ask old Hal for a citation on that " can't lap the valves" fiction. refer him to page 7-21 in the FSM

Yeah, a lot of those guys are idiots. My favorite one is the guy " go one size up on the pilot jet and two sizes up on the main jet, because modern fuel" for every carb issue.

Great job on The Turd
I'm sure it will make him happy

There is a lot of really cr*ppy advice dished out on Facebook... I always send everyone here. :)

Drop off postponed till next weekend...Tony took on a job this weekend and won't be there for the planned reviel.

Been riding the newly resurrected gemstone a few days now. Tweeked a few things and she is solid as granite. She pulled the ton this morning and had plenty of gumption to spare. She was a beauty queen at work today and had many pictures taken. Made me feel good.

Roy was shocked. We didnt tell him it was his at first. We walked around it and he then asked if he could sit on it and i said yes. Bike was on center stand and he climbed on and put his feet up on the pegs and thats when i handed him the title and told him it was his bike. He just kinda froze looking at the gauges then looked at me with a stunned kinda look and asked me....and i quote.."Are you %&&^$$ serious?? You built me this bike????". I told him yes and then he actually asked me if he could take it for a ride. I told him its his and he can do whatever he wants. I dont think it had quite sunk in it was actually his.

NOW THE BAD. Per my normal fat fingers messing stuff up and making things hard to do.....i pushed the record button on the camera but not correctly and i didnt get one second of the surprise.
