    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Ok, I've added everyone that posted to this thread instead of sending me a PM. And congratulations to New Zealand, there are now 3 of you.

azr, FWIW, your footer has a link regarding GSR Google but the link brings one to this thread. I find it a trial to find the Google map to view the locations as it is not evident without re-reading your initial post.

I'm wondering if the direct link could be prominently displayed, perhaps in the thread title?

Not complaining but simply attempting to report experience which may reflect others'. Yes, I know I could save the Google link, etc. but choose not to do so for various reasons. I tend to view the map only every few months so do not recall the liink which requires searching.

Applause for the project!

If there is a complaint, it would be the concentration of GS on Vancouver Island with few on the mainland. Fix this please!;)

Thanks for the input, I'm always wondering how this whole thing is working for others. I don't think I can put a link in the header but maybe I can try changing the colour of the link for the map, that should make it a little simpler for people to see within my instructions. Not much I can do about the lack of GS population on the mainland. Why don't you start reproducing GS bikes and help things grow, that's what I do. Besides with this bloody weather there ain't much riding going on...man what a crappy start to the season, again... oh well.

So you adventure riders know, 'Artbone' has added himself to the map and offered his shop and mechanical skills to anyone that ventures that way and is in need. Looks like he's a couple of hours North of Mexico City.

Great work, AZR!

Thanks for putting this together. We sure are spread out! Unless you live in the Northeast, your chances of randomly crossing paths with another member are pretty slim. :(

Still, good to put some places with the names!

Cheers,
Josh

Josh...are you hating on us North Easterners?

need to see more folks from central il on the map. I need some people to go riding with.

Hey Joe. You are only 90 miles from me. I have ridden over to route 66 a couple of times. We could arrange a meet someday and do some riddin.

Finally got around to updating the map with everyone. Just a reminder it's easiest if you send me a PM rather than posting to this thread. Check out 'soupstone' all the way up in Scotland. We sure are getting spread around.

how do i see the map? Im in christchurch, new Zealand
To see the map, follow the information that is in the very first post of the thread.

To get on the map, send a PM to azr with your information. Note that you don't need an actual address, unless you want the marker to point at your house.
My marker points to the same place that my GPS calls "home", just to fool people a bit. It's not my house, but you can see my house from there.
In fact, the location for my marker is the police station down the next block. :D

.

How do I get my location on added on? K never mind I found it lol
