A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

hey guys just wanted to get peeps real names.

I'm Darren by the way. 23 and yeah workin and having fun.

Welp..did a bunch of stuff on the bike today...didnt feel like i got alot done, but in hindsight its more than i have been able to get done in a couple weeks. Got my bar end mirrors on. Changed my oil filter, resulting in a mess (guess i didnt get all the oil out when draining..lol) got my header bolted back up. And took another crack at my points..I think i got em set right..we'll find out. Also spent some time on quadruple and (whatever five times is) checking my float levels before i mount these carbs back up..tomorrow AM ill fab a bracket to hang my meg on, cos the old one was attached to the swingarm..tho i wonder how much it matters whether its attached there or not? Anyone? Put some oil in her, and crank her over and see what happens.

Yet to be done before the final breakdown for paint and cleanup:

Dyna system
Seat and pan
Turn sigs
lil bit of wiring
finish up my new tank and seal it
change out the starter clutch and possibly the starter motor...we'll see

That's my current project right now. I'm cutting up the seat and pan. I'm cutting the pan with metal sheers and damn if it isn't alot of work. Fvcking things must be dull. And for a metal shaping hammer I'm using a contractor's hammer and a heavy sanding block.... Ghetto I know but its the best I can do without the right tools :-D

I'll send you both headlights with regular blue/white bulbs for like 20 bucks.

Serious?? You got a deal! Paypal?? Post a pic up on this thread of that bad boy!

go to harbor freight and buy an angle grinder and some metal cut off wheels. It has been my godsend for the last few years . cutting springs , seat pans , exhausts , body kits , bumpers , mounts , bumpstops , shocks , fenders , hoods , frozen nuts and bolts , used it to "machine" accents on valve covers , intake manifolds , cut frames . MY GOODNESS.

it's an amazing tool.

about 20.00 and a 10 pack of discs is like 5 bucks.

I just bought a new grinder as my old one was wearing out after like 3 years or so.

whats wrong with your header?? BTW sending that 20 bucks to your paypal right now...

Ive got a 4into2 off an 80, its a stock system and i dunno if it will match up, but you pay shipping and you're welcome to it. Dunno if you can make something out of it or not. They say they dont make the VH header for our pre 80 750s anymore but if you visit the Vance and Hines website they still list it, and i jut bought a baffle for it.

it's more than just a little bit beat up I don't care about the scratched up can but the dented primaries is no bueno.

well hey guys I'm off to go drink.

hmm. I have a kerker that got a yoshi pipe welded to it. no matter what I do I'll end up wanting a 4-1 and then weld on some sort of other muffler , whether it's the stock can off my 450 or another yosh pipe.

oh and i'll ship your lights out tomorrow

You tried ITS?? They have been getting good reviews on here from people who need titles for their bikes.
I tried calling them to tell them my situation and to ask if I'd need to get chp inspected afterwards or not. and they were busy all day long tues and when i tried again on wed they were busy again.

I don't wanna shell out the cash just to hear i;m still gonna have to get inspected by chp and then be screwed when there's no vin on my frame.

the front section off the stock pipes come off right? I might have my buddy fab something up with mine or something.

just add in new pipe but it's gotta look SUPER clean , or ultra badass and funky hardcore , lol

ok seriously though off to drink now. goodbye all :)

How much of a PITA was that light to wire up?

No i dont think the stock 4into2 comes apart..aside from the crossover pipes. What about some header wrap to clean it up some? Just a thought. Im sure you should be able to sort that out..as Snowbeard, i think he recently dealt with ITS and i dont think that he had to have it inspected. Different laws in different states, but i think they send you a tagable title in which case there is no inspection involved, at least here.
