A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • This forum is for placing reviews for parts, accessories, gear and service as it relates to your GS motorcycle. The key here is "GS Related". There is a bit of latitude here but we don't want to see a review on Maytag washers just because that's what you use to clean your riding jacket in.

Keep your review as factual as possible and please refrain from personal attacks. Posted articles will be reviewed by the Editors and may be removed at their discretion.

So let's make this a useful addition to the forum! A special pat on the back goes to Hap Call for coming up with this great idea.

The views expressed in this forum are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of "The GSResources" or the editors.

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Didn't (and wouldn't) buy these, just found them and thought I'd share a laugh:

Foot feelin' too heavy to operate the shifter? Been ridin' the rear break because of the oppressive weight of your footwear? Then you NEED this TECHNICALLY INNOVATIVE UPGRADE in your collection TODAY!

Product Description

The last set of aglets you will ever need, these indestructible titanium lace-ends provide ultimate protection and weight-savings to your shoe or bootlaces. Lighter overall foot weight equates to easier operation of the shift and rear brake levers for increased all-day rider comfort. Also reduces drag of offbike footwear. Easily removable to transfer between multiple pairs of shoes. Specify 1mm or 1.5mm length.

Try clicking "add to cart"

Hmmm.... Not sure how "easily removable" one would want their $900 aglets to be :) Additional weight savings not just from material but also having aglets 1.0 or 1.5 millimeters in length?

They should sweeten the deal - Free shipping if you purchase blinker fluid with it!

Read the product reviews;

"Saving a fortune in frayed laces and shoes stay tied longer too! Best $900.00 I've ever spent!"

"These titanium aglets have saved my life more than once. The overall reduction in weight, while not noticeable initially, are evident after hours of riding, when you're dragging your feet around, unable to remove your boots for whatever reason, and grateful for the weight savings.

These $900 aglets enhance the look & performance of my $50 boots in ways I cannot describe. Once, I had to toss my laces to a drowning drunk. A lesser plastic aglet would not have created the right weight/speed characteristics to generate the 'bolo' effect and he would not have been able to grip the end of the laces with such aplomb. He drowned anyway, but the point I'm trying to make is that they're there when you need them."

I feel like I just got punked....

LMAO :D:lol:

odd a mainstream vendor wuould link to something so strange.
The quiz looks like a lead up to a scam.

Personally I prefer flip-flops

Ha!

Loved the reviews!

Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for your indulgence,

Every Aerostitch catalog I've ever had always has something stupid like that. Obviously its a joke.
Overall I dig Aero's stuff, but since I don't ride a BMW, well, I guess I'm just not their target buyer.
Sometimes their other descriptions are just irritating to me - buncha goofballs.
But I would love a Roadcrafter suit if I had a grand to drop.

They have quality stuff, no doubt, but it's also overpriced IMHO, so I don't have any of their stuff.

As for their magazine format, always kinda reminds me of the J Peterman catalog that employed Elaine on Seinfeld. A bit excessive, but entertaining and with the prices they charge, their clientelle easily covers the cost of the print. :)

I think there should be a comma in there, I think they are offering them in 1.0 and 1.5 mm diameters, and offering a choice of length in each size.

Also, the "free shipping with blinker fluid purchase" would be nice, if they actually have blinker fluid.
KaleCo Auto has blinker fluid in their catalog, but has been "sold out" for a LONG time.

.

You guys obviously don't deal with Areostich much! They have dozens of items in thier catalog to play games with your head. My favorite was the gallon of invisable paint and the cop repellant whistle (like a deer whistle for cops).
