I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.
Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Returning Visitors
If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.
If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Not all ultrasonic cleaners are created equal, though. I've got a crappy one that I don't trust to clean internal passages. I still think carb dip is better.
Surely someone out there has invented a whole new Newbie Mistake...
One thing I'm going to mention for our influx of spring newbies is to PAY ATTENTION to where you are posting in the forum. Don't just click the first subforum you see and start blathering; scroll down, look for a technical subforum that seems about right, and post there. This will ensure the maximum visibility and the most expert eyes on your post.
This categorization also greatly helps in preserving knowledge for the future, which is the main point.
The ONLY topics that belong in the first subforum, "Forum Q&A" are, oddly enough, questions about the forum itself. Do NOT put motorcycle questions here.
If you're wondering why no one is responding to your technical question, this is probably why.
On a similar note, do NOT post the same question in multiple sub forums. This will also get you ignored.
Just make an effort; for example, if you're not sure whether something belongs in carb questions or electrical, that's fine. Just pick one and it'll be OK.

Letting someone clean your carbs using a air line while you work on Electrical and them launching a Jet/Pilot across a unkept garage.
Keep things tidy and a leash on people "helping you"
We found the Jet that wanted to join the Space program, unharmed thankfully.
Whatever you do, do NOT let your “helper” take apart the left nor the right-hand switches. There’s a spring and a BB from my kill switch in low earth orbit since 2018.

The lesson I learned to replace bent valves. It was the cam chain tensioner I had released to spring the camshaft pin̈ion sprockets out of timing by two links.
Had I known what I'd done, I should have pulled the heads and set the cams back into place straight away. Oil buildup on the starter brushes was a constant rebuild problem, but I lived up a steep hill, just neutral to 2nd and release the clutch ordinarily started my day, but not today as the pistons struck and bent the valve faces started two weeks of meditation with the manuals. My first journey as a Clymer cĺimber.
