    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

  • In order to help others find info on a particular bike, be sure to put the year, make or model of bike that you are asking a question about, in the Topic Title. This will allow people to pass by posts they have no interest in.

Ok guys, so its NOT a GS, but I DO have a fully renovated GS1000G, this may be of some interest to others, after all, it IS Suzuki & 'modern' GSX1400 retro-muscle bike, circa 2003.
I came across this complete pile of crud with 65k on the clock, & simply HAD to have it, back home it was stripped totally, ( see how similar it is to a GS )
Every single thing, I shot-blasted, re-welded where necessary, resprayed in the garden with 2-pack acrylic (frame etc ) then clear over basecote for the colour.
The only thing I DIDN'T do was to have the broken studs spark-eroded from the crankcase & electronic odometer reset to zero!!
I starts & runs as if brand-new, & it now sits along side my other GSX1400 the GS thou.
Hardest part was getting the motor back in, its a heavy mutha & i'm 68 years young now & I don't seem able to do what I used to.

If this link works, its a blow by blow account, but for some reason, they're out of sequence, work it out for yourselves!!
Bracing myself for possible 'its not a GS' abuse:D
First one didn't work, try this:

3 of my other GS bikes are in the gallery, I posted them in 2003, still there!

Hi and welcome, firstly, the link dont work, it asks you to sign in to your account. so unless you give us your login details we cant see any pics!
second, no worries about the GS thing. You own a GS so you are most welcome, plus the GSX is kind of a modern GS, as you say, many similarities.
sort your link/pics out so we can all have a look and enjoy the site.

Yeh, I'm surprised the 1400 never made it to the US, I think you guys would have liked them, only 101bhp , but nearly 100ft/lbs of torque, 6 speed box, fuel-injected & only 4650rpm @ 100mph , & I can pootle along at 30 in 6th gear & simply open-up & she's off, no spluttering right up to over 140, no dramas & almost silent as well.
